On July 29-31 in Berkeley, there will be an Open Science Summit. Some of the leaders in the DIY bio and open source manufacturing communities are going to be there. It looks extremely exciting.

Is anyone from ImmInst going to be heading to the Open Science Summit?

Certainly "information wants to be free" and the embodiment of information and certainly access to information completely governs the Hertz of the iterative process of discovery to "result". Old outmoded competitive "I Win-You Lose" which are currently the norm will never see us achieve the goals we hope to in the timeframes we are looking for. Opening up the discussion of "Open Science" is the first step to putting some booster rockets on scientific discovery and the development of the applications that will result. I hope you are all planning on being there.. and spread the word! It'd be great to get an ImmInst group there and get together if that was possible.

I'm going. Aubrey de Grey will also be there.

I used the discount code "Foresight" when I registered. 20% off.
