A couple of questions I have about cryonics, I would like to know how serious the plausibility of its desirable outcome is pursued:

Does any serious research taking place regarding cryonics?
Where?
By whom?
Who is paying for it?

At present both CI and Alcor have modest in-house research programs with five-figure budgets. That's very small considering what science really costs to do.

Cryonics currently draws heavily on advances made in conventional organ preservation research. That's where millions of dollars are being spent (although only a few million, which is still small-scale science). That research goes on at places like
