A good female friend of mine has had an HPV infection for almost a year now. She apparently has two variants of the infection, one of them being one of the types that causes cervical cancer. Her doctor is checking on it regularly and it hasn't shown any sign of clearing so far. I was wondering which supplements could potentially be of benefit in clearing it out.

So far I have:

Olive Leaf Extract
Carrageenan
EGCG
Beta Glucan
Garlic

I was thinking the Kyolic Immune formula might be a good choice as it has the garlic and olive leaf as well as astragalus.

I appreciate any suggestions for supplements or a dosing scheme for the ones listed.

I used 3g/day for a while (but not for herpes). I've heard larger amounts being thrown about too.

I have nothing at all to back it up, as I'm not looked at this... but I do recall on another list someone mentioning 'Neem' as part of their HPV regime.

Why is this form of Zinc used over the others? It seems unusual as its not he most popular form of Zinc. Does anyone know if it has properties the others dont?

No sure, Enochian. But it was the form used in the study and it's darn inexpensive !

Coconut Oil/Monolaurin
Oil of Oregano

I thought monolaurin is only effective against enveloped viruses (HPV is non-enveloped), and I'd be surprised if there was more than anecdotal information regarding the effectiveness of oregano oil on HPV.

The saddest thing is that there are people who keep on buying supplements religiously for different ailments even if they don't work. This is especially true with the systemic candidiasis hogwash.

Well there is evidence that oregano oil is a potent anti-viral. So you can't blame someone for wanting to try to treat HPV with it.

Supplements are highly unlikely to get to where they're needed. I suggest placing a fresh, peeled, uncrushed garlic clove just inside the va-jay-jay every night right before bed. Remove in morning. Do for at least a week.
