Up front please excuse me if this is the wrong board for this question and if so, if someone could kindly point me in the direction of a more appropriate board/forum, thank you.

Question:

I am 49 yr old female, turning 50 soon and in reasonably good shape, looking to continuously improve my health and trying to prevent future disease, etc. In perimenopause, still menstruating.

I recently ordered a boatload of blood tests from Life Extension - which shows the following:

- elevated C Reactive Protein and Fibrinogen levels

- dropping Estrogen & Progesterone levels.

Other values appear to be within range.

I would really appreciate it someone could please recommend accurate sources (websites, books, etc.) for researching measures to impact cardiac risk factors

AND - basic endocrinology so that I can better understand how to optimize (potential) hormone supplementation.

I am also especially interested in learning more about pregnelone (spelling?) DHEA, HGH, and overall endocrine health in middle age and beyond - and obviously HRT in menopausal women.

Thanks! VL
