Lithium Orotate is my favorite supplement. It has done wonders for my mood and anxiety. If I ever overdo the caffeine or anything, I can take 5mg of extra lithium and I'm evened out again. If I take to much lithium I get "brain fog", but Methylene Blue seems to counteract that.
Best cure when you are overstimulated...

Interesting. I just started on lithium orotate about two weeks ago, and was wondering about increasing my dose "as-needed" on certain days. For the first week or so I was on a 12/12h sleep/awake schedule, which is very strange for me because I'm usually an insomniac. Those effects are beginning to level off now, thankfully, but I was sort of hoping I'd be able to take an extra 5-10mg on days when I wanted to go to bed early.

Green/White tea does the same thing for me.

Could be...I don't react at all to theanine in supplement form - only mildly and in higher doses it casues brain fog. But when I drink white/green tea I get noticable nootropic effects (at least 5 cups a day). It could be the high levels of catechins such as epigallocatechin gallate which are quite beneficial to the brain. According to wikipidia white tea also contains theobromine and gallic acid.

Calamus root: Incredibly effective against agitation, anxiety and overstimulation (also bipolar agitation, at least for me). It works in seconds after chewing on some piece of root. The downside is that it kind of removes all emotion that is connected to the wired / speedy thoughts, and the effect is that it makes you become less passionate and considerably less interested in socialising. The good stuff is that this "side effect" vanishes pretty quickly if you remove the root.
How I wonder what the pharmacodynamics of calamus root are. It´s like a mix a of non sedating and antipsychotic anxiolytic.

Too much lithum can be a bad thing, getting levels tested monthly is a good idea.

Lithium Orotate was one of the worst supps I've ever bought. It made me act and sound like Keanu Reeves on chloroform or ketamine or something. I'm not knocking the positive responses, just relaying my interaction with it. Not for me - i don't even care about its neurogenesis due to its affects on me.

lol @ keanu reeves on chloroform.
I've been on about 6.5mg LiOr for about 3 weeks now, and I'm still liking it, for the most part. But I've been doing 1.5mg with breakfast, and 5mg before bed. I find I enjoy most of the benefits in rebound (have a better mood the next day), while taking 5mg makes me pretty sedated (or chloroformed).
I've tried an extra 5mg in the morning on some days, and it's been pretty useful if I want to make sure I get to bed as early as possible, or to correct my sleeping schedule when I've had insomnia. It's easy to sleep an extra few hours when I do this, because it makes me groggy in the morning, but if I make myself get up it dissipates fairly quickly.
