Try Adderal or some other stimulate. Maby Effexor or something simmular.
I used to take Adderall for a few years but it would just make my anxiety 10 times worse and make me socially awkward. That's why I think an SSRI might work. What I thought was ADHD (or ADD-PI) might actually just be anxiety and depression. Being unable to function productively and putting things off are a classic symptom of anxiety and depression. I only feel "normal" when I exercise which leads me to believe I have a serotonin deficiency.
I've tried St. Johns Wort and 5-HTP but they didn't seem to work well.
So what do you take now to treat that?
I've tried Piracetam (with and without choline). It worked for a few weeks but then it lost its efficacy. I've tried Acetyl L-Carnatine but that also gives me bad anxiety. I've tried SAM-e and I don't really notice anything.
I take the following everyday:
Fish Oil (2-4 g)
Ashwagandha
Vitamin D
Centrum Multivitamin
B-50 Vitamin Complex
Sometimes Gingko Biloba
Tea or coffee in the morning
I don't really notice any cognitive enhancement from these. I definitely don't get any motivation from them. I exercise 5-6 times a week. And this is what really bothers me. Most people can exercise in the evening and wake up feeling the effects of exercise (decreased anxiety, enhanced cognition, better memory). I can do intense cardio for 1 hour everyday and then wake up with the same brain fog and anxiety in the morning. I can barely function before noon.
