Anyone heard of dr bach's herbal remedy system? My mom's friend hooked me up to some biofeedback system called the Quantiwave System.

Anyways the doc told me that I was always depressed and gave me some of dr bach's treatment regiment, which included Pine and Water Violet drop bottles and told me to take 2 drops of each every day.

My mom also fell into buying something called "Active Enzyme" from onepower, (a taiwanese equivalent of monavie).

Is bach's system completely bullshit, as I believe it is?

From their website:

The Bach Flower Remedies® are a safe and natural method of healing. They gently restore the balance between mind and body by casting out negative emotions, such as, fear, worry, hatred and indecision which interfere with the equilibrium of the being as a whole. The Bach Flower Remedies® allow peace and happiness to return to the sufferer so that the body is free to heal itself.

The most convincing argument for efficacy on their page is that Jennifer Aniston takes it.

Yeah, this is obviously homeopathic rubbish.

I've tried the rescue remedy brand. I actually think it helped my anxiety quite well but i got fed up because i felt medicated all the time. I used to take like 4-5 sprays or 3-4 drops on my tongue and it just to do wonders. Might get it back.

The rescue remedy works. I use it all the time. Always have it with me at the hospitals.

I forgot about the Rescue Remedy product, that some people here say they like. But even that is pretty sketchy. Have any studies been done on any of its components? They claim that it's usable by pregnant women during labor, yet I can't find anything about its MOA on the website. Personally I'd be pretty leery of taking something so mysterious, regardless of efficacy or how "natural" it is.

I bought this one. http://www.iherb.com...fl-oz/3524?at=1

It was my first order of iherb. I ordered it because i had an interview at Apple Inc for a job, and i was so damn nerveous. I must say after 2-3 sprays on my tongue it didn't take very long to feel it. Perhaps 30 mins or so. I felt medicated and i did pretty well at the interview, felt relaxed and confident. Not all of thins works for me, but rescue remedy i definitely can conclude did.

That "rescue remedy" is homeopathic so feeling "relaxed and confident" is probably because it contains 27% alcohol.

4-5 sprays of 27% alcohol will not produce a feeling. Unless your cat.

I agree with Joel, it's definitely not the alcochol causing the effect.

Would the pine provide the same benefits as pycnogenol?

About homeopathy in general:

Homeopathy - dilution for the deluded. Feel free to quote me.
Paying money for water... the stupid, it hurts.

Just get the active ingredient in bulk instead. If you want pine: buy pine extract (with lab verified percentage of OPCs) or pycnogenol.

I don't know, i used a homeopathic remedy for anxiety and it helped me bigtime with phenibut withdrawals which i know was not placebo. I even felt the leg relaxation effects you get with benzos. Obviously alot more mild. I also had to consume a large amount of the pills, but i was in withdrawal so i wouldn't expect plants and flowers to be that strong.
