Taken daily (with food, drink):

1 x Healthy Origins Vitamin D3 5,000 IU (Cholecaliferol)

1 x Country Life Resveratrol plus (100mg Trans, 50mg grape seed extract, 25mg grape skin extract, 25mg pine bark extract)

1 x Store brand(Asda/Walmart) Omega 3 fish oil ("Omega fish oil 1000mg", providing "300mg Omega" + "260mg EPA/DHA")

1 x Ethical Nutrients Vitamin C (500mg Vitamin C as ascorbic acid, citrus bioflavonoid complex = 450mg bioflavonoids: hesperidin + other naturally occurring phenolic compounds)

1 x Store brand (holland & barrett ABC+) multivitamin

1 x Life Extension Vitamin K2 (Menaquinone-7 45 microg)

Health issues: Short-sightedness (things get blurred when further away) due to spending a lot more time than I should staring at a screen! which is probably why my eyes are very sensitive to sunlight. I regularly have trouble getting to sleep at night and have tried meditating & listening to relaxing music to clear my mind with no major success so I often find myself staying up until the late hours when I'm really tired enough to fall asleep, depriving me of sleep & making me feel tired the next day.

My main reason for taking supplements is to keep myself generally healthy & give my body what it needs & may not always get from my diet; living longer seems like a good side-effect of that. Is there anything you would add/remove/replace to this regimen? Any other tips or advice? Thanks very much in advance for your feedback!

I like the direction you're going but I'd make a few changes. Switch to flax seed oil and eat it liberally - don't worry about dosages. Your multi is, for lack of a better word, crap. I'm a big fan of Source Naturals Life Force Multiple w/o iron. If cost is a concern your diet is nutritious you can take one pill instead of two (not optimal, though) making a bottle last 6 months. I would scour other people's stacks to get ideas, too.

I don't agree on the flax seed oil. While we can technically use the form of omega 3 fatty acid it contains, we are not efficient at converting it to the form that we really need. I would stick with the fish oil you are using. If your vitamin D is a dry or tablet formulation, I would switch to an oil-based (softgel) formulation. The dry ones are not reliably absorbed. Get your 25-hydroxy-vitamin D3 level checked the next time you see your doctor. I try to hit about 50 ng/ml, which for me takes 2000 IU/day of an oil-based formulation and very little sun exposure. Different people have different requirements, so testing is a good idea. A good diet is better than a multivitamin. Most males shouldn't take iron, as Trevor suggests, so I would dump the multi for that reason. If I added anything to this regimen, it would be magnesium, 200 mg/day (elemental), with glycinate being a good salt form. The vitamin K2-MK7 is good- keep that, though you might save money by using Jarrow's 90 mcg version every other day.

I'd go up to 250 mg.

Agree with Niner -- unless you are doing the CR thing, I'd go with fish oil. I'd also dump that multi, but Source Naturals isn't known for their quality either and that particular multi has lots of 'extras' I'd avoid. And at a full dose it is into overdose range.

I'd suggest the OP go for cronometer, see what you are deficient in, then either supplement or eat differently. Go with decent brands, not store brands. If price is an issue, look for Now or Jarrow products and order online, from places like iHerb or Swanson's.

Definitely get your D levels measured. I'm hoping it was a lab error, but using that same brand of vitamin D at a much lower dosage than you, my last D serum was off the charts high.

Niner made a good suggestion as to magnesium. And K2 also... I use Jarrow MK-7 EOD myself. Perhaps research melatonin for sleep issues. Do not use melatonin if you happen to have asthma though.
