I am currently working in a different time zone and find myself awake from about 10 AM until 3 AM each day recently. I am still getting about 7 hours of sleep but am wondering whether this shift in sleep schedule would actually lead to decreased brain function over the longer term, just as sleep deprivation would. Short term, I feel not much of a difference yet (so far about 2 weeks), but am wondering if anyone has experience with this. Any input most welcome!
