I've been using a low dose of selegiline daily. I use `1.25mg as 2.5 mg kinda made my heart race. I've done a lot of searching here and find bits and pieces to this question but nothing conclusive. I used to use st john's wort (the standartd 300mg .03% cap) with 50mg of 5htp and valerian root. All 3 were not always taken together, but mostly on week ends to assure good sleep as I go to bed around 6am and need quality sleep and it's important I stay asleep...

So what's the verdict on using selegiline with st john's wort, 5htp and valerian root? Since selegiline affects serotonine levels I'm guessing 5htp is not really needed. But I miss the calming effects of st john's wort and valerian root but am scared to use them with selegiline.

I've been using gaba before bed and can't say it's had any negative effects while using selegiline in case anybody is wondering. But that's just me... I use up to 5 grams of it.

Thanks!
