on a study break so i will give a few thoughts. My keyboard misses strokes so forgive me if some weird errors arise, i am not going to spallchick :)
i am in med school and it is mega crunch time... i am prescribed aderrall for real ADD and didnt take it for years but had to cave in. However, it makes me so sleepy and toxic feeling. i wanted alternatives. here is my stack... comments below

HupA- 10mcg
Racetams- Pir/Ani/Ox (5g/2g/1.5g)
Salbutiamine- 1.6g
Choline Bitartrate - 8g
CDP-Choline - 1g
ALCAR- 7g
R-ALA - 200mg x 3
Gingko Biloba- 6g (3 x 2g)
CoQ10
Vit E
Vit C
NAC - 600mg x 4
Rooibos tea/green tea- antioxidants
Zinc/Magnesium/B6
vit D3- 3000 IU

1) Huperzine A - i got this in the mail so popped in 200mcg. I am going to be frank I got all of the too much ACH symptoms, and my vision became altered. Diarrhea etc. I lowered to 50mcg and still got symptoms. I am now at splitting the cap into 15,cg a day and i am going to lower to 10mcg pretty soon, maybe 5mcg because still some ach symptoms with the racetams. (alongside racetams). Normal healthy individuals do NOT need to be popping 600mcg in a day.

2) Racetams- loving ani/piracetam/oxi + bitartrate though i am dosing very high... 5g piracetam, 2g ani, 1.5g oxi a day... my concentration is better, my sleep is better. Usedto take me an hour of emailing before i could study 30mins and now i am getting to business. my choline dosage is HIGH... probably 15g a day.... my scooper was messed p and that is what i started with but i feel great... so i dont think i should change... tried going solely CDP but felt tired... now i am about 8g bitartrate and 1g CDP a day

3) Salbutiamine- dosing 800mgs bi daily. Tolerance sets in buti am using it for the brain energy and memory ---> LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT. aderrall is gone, i love it

-after these exams i am dropping the hup A (in 7 days), and lowering my racetam dosages in half or more fore maintenance... but what i got now is a great study stack

My Q: what do you think of going to bed at 11pm until i wake up (usually 3:30am) but getting up studying 3hrs, then sleeping 6:30-10am??

since i always wake between 2:30-4am i thought this might be really good, early AM attack study then more rest... like a dog or ancient hunter

If you are going to bed late past 11 take melatonin, it is an antioxidant, plus necessary for memory. It is better to go to bed at 9:30 and get 6-8 hours of sleep. Some reasons that you get up before completing a full 6-8 hours of sleep may be because the room is too warm or too cold or you are over stimulated/anxious/scared or there is too much light or noise or your bed is not comfortable or you are in pain. If you get up early try listening to baroque music to help you relax and go back to sleep. Remember if you stress your body by inadequate sleep you will be producing those nasty oxidants that destroy brain cells. Plus, going back to sleep at 6:30 until 10 seems unrealistic since I would think you would have to take a class or go to school or something during that time. That time is usually when people are getting up and going to work and stuff.

Ginko? Well i was optimistic too about it, untill i read on science daily that they done the biggest study to date in 2009 that showed that it doesen't slow cognitive aspects in elderly people. The only thing i have felt is a headache, and slight clearer thought but i think that was placebo now after i read that research.

That is interesting you find that. This article looks at it a little deeper. It seems that Ginkgo is questionable yet at the same time has been shown to work. It may be that fritzer is using it as a vasodilator or as an antioxidant. I would suggest Ageless Cures Curcumin C3 complex. This product is much less questionable if you are going to get rid of Ginkgo. There needs to be a thread on the best antioxidants, two being resveratrol and curcumin.

I'm glad you mention Curcumin as this is one supplement that has received alot of attention both on here and other forums such as mind and muslce. I'm trying to see which brand is the best, doctor's best has one on iherb and in general Doctor's best do good stuff. But i have read mixing it with something like black peppar or pipperine, i don't know if that something else i need to buy as well.
Anyone takes the Doctor's Best brand on iherb? Appreciate ur advice!
