We read that Omega 3 increases the brain gray matter as long as it is used - but the effects vanish after quitting usage.

I heard that lithium also increases brain gray matter.

There are other things also. But what are the ones that create permanent effect? As it is discussed that emotional chemistry is well regulated there, to help creating a permanent effect on depression, if we would like to increase the gray matter, what should we use? Are there any natural cures that has effects not only for the term they are being used - but a long term result even the supplement is not used?

Can anyone summarize and point out to me to scientific researches on this topic?

edit. I am speaking about the brain gray matter issue.
