Almost every website selling piracetam (and the other racetams) as a powder is sourcing from the same few sources (in China), so shopping for the best price isn't a bad idea if you stick with reputable sites. Just scan the existing threads for the names that keep on popping up. I've had good experiences with Smart Powders for the other 'racetams, but they don't carry piracetam anymore. Primaforce piracetam is definitely legit if you just want a brand name. If you're looking for pharmaceutically packaged piracetam from Europe, I'm not sure who has the best prices.

Oxiracetam, Aniracetam, and Pramiracetam. They're all legit and the only adulteration my lab found was regular chromium (not hexavalent) at reasonable (1.2-2.8) levels.
I always recommend to get a month's supply to start with a new supplier, and have samples tested. That way if you see something in the results you don't like, you're not out too much money and you're not harming your health.

I ordered Piracetam from nootropichub.co.uk.

If I remember correctly, Piracetam should taste horrible. When I mix it (1g~) with about a cup of water, it's just very subtle bitter from the end and I don't have any problems drinking it. Is this stuff real?

Piracetam is a lot like tonic water. Bitter yet subtly sweet taste. You get used to it. I'm not familiar with that supplier, so I really can't attest to its products.

There are a couple. Primoforce - I think is U.S. based and are good. I also like Nootropic Hub based in UK and I happen to love Mind Boost produced by Mastermind Supplements because it has caffeine and choline in it too so it's better than just straight Piracetam. Nootropic Hub sells it too. Good luck on ur search!

*Primaforce, not primo, but yeah.

I think this question is rather valid, now that some of the cheapest places have started pulling piracetam. If anyone has bought some recently from a reputable source, recommendations would be appreciated by more than just OP. On that note, did anyone on the boards get it on this while it was in stock: http://www.nutraplan...-700-grams.html ? If so, comments, concerns?

kikai, I saw somewhere that you test your products for purity; how exactly do you do that and what equipment does it require? Is it something that an undergrad in a cell biology lab could do?

I bought it two and a half weeks ago, though I never bought piracetam from any other company. I usually take a teaspoon of piracetam and put it in my mouth, then wash it down with water. It has a very strong taste, and it does taste like tonic somewhat.

What exactly is the situation with piracetam? Can't sales be free of regulation if it isn't sold as a dietary supplement? Piracetam isn't even regulated, so why are companies pulling piracetam off of the shelves? Is NP piracetam gonna come back in stock? It said "out of stock" and not "discontinued", so maybe they will still sell it.

Terribly sorry for not citing the source, but there was a recent American pharma-sponsored study that showed that Piracetam was effective in improving the condition of Alzheimer patients. This company is pushing for a license to distribute piracetam as a drug, which means that those who supply it as a supplement are slowly getting screwed over. Here is the thread in which the owner of one company, Mike M, broke the news to imminst (along with an ensuing flame war):

http://www.imminst.o...more-piracetam/

Here's the letter he got served:

http://www.fda.gov/I...s/ucm225605.htm

Although this seems to affect the distributors, I have not heard of anyone outside of Australia getting any crap for buying piracetam; I would like to see how this plays out and stake out some good sources in the meantime. Idk what is going to happen with the NP piracetam, but I hope they stock it some time soon. Otherwise I'll turn to the pricier Cerebralhealth =/

A teaspoon? Damn, that's quite a bit. Please tell me you feel something from that...

Why didn't Cerebralhealth receive a letter? Perhaps they don't sell piracetam as a supplement and that's why?

I'm taking 6 teaspoons a day. I masturbated 1-4 times a day before I started taking piracetam and fish oil. On my first few doses, piracetam gave me kind of a boost of some sort. In about a week, I was sleeping less and waking up more refreshed. I masturbated more like 6-8 times a day. A few days before that, I dropped the fish oil and after a few days of the good effects, I suddenly stopped masturbating completely, I became careless and demotivated. I couldn't concentrate in class, like before I used piracetam. Some person said I was spacing out. After several days of that, I decided to try fish oil again, which was the day before yesterday and I feel like I'm starting to gain back those effects. I can concentrate in class a little better. I'm masturbating a little more and I get stressed out much less. This was only in a day, I have yet to see what it will do for me in a week, month, or a year!

I'll try it when my NP piracetam runs out.

I'm still getting increasingly positive effects from combining piracetam and fish oil and I'll post a thread about it once I'm ready to do so.

I'm taking NSI fish oil, which is the cheapest molecule distilled fish oil I could find by searching around the internet, at $0.0283/gram. The quality is great too. It doesn't smell bad at all, perhaps because I keep it in the freezer. I've been taking 10 grams three times daily. Piracetam probably aids in utilization of the fish oil since I've never experienced such effects from fish oil by itself and I felt dull from using piracetam without fish oil.

My dreams have been getting increasingly lucid. They're lucid to the point that I'm listening to music I've never heard before in my dream.

I don't know if I'll be able to buy the CH piracetam since its only accepted payment method is google checkout. I'll see.

I believe Mike McCandless at Smart Powders was the largest importer. It still seems to be coming into the US OK so far, but distributors may not get as good a price if they aren't buying it in as large a quantity. Some distributors may be wary of ordering very large quantities as they are unsure of it's future legal status (although Mike seemed to get rid of a huge quantity of stock in a very short period of time with his fire sale). I have loved getting it dirt cheap vs the dollar a gram I was paying for Nootroopil in Mexico a few years back. In any case, if you like it I'd consider buying one or two large containers from wherever you can get it to make sure you have some later if they come down on it. But if they do go after it, there will certainly be more fire sales. The bulk powders do seem to be less available and a little more expensive than before, but the fear that it was going to be completely unavailable shortly after Smart Powders FDA letter and fire sale seems to have been fortunately incorrect. I don't think Mike was trying to scam people with his sale, I think he didn't want an expensive legal fight and decided to drop selling it after an FDA letter which happens to many companies over many supplements.

Thank you for being so thorough. Where do you order fish oil from, btw? And how did you get up to such high quantities? Did you read something in the literature that convinced you it would be best to start off like that? Did you work your way up? Or did it just seem like a good idea?

Many thanks for a source of Piracetam. It is getting much harder to find these days (July 2012). I easily found it at NutraPlanet and at a very good price - 700 gm for $43.00 plus $7.00 for P&H. They also have good ratings on the Internet and their CEO Sam Hong, is a public person. All looks good and I placed my first order. They don't take PayPal but, you can't have everything.

I have pre-Alzheimers and don't want to take prescreption meds until I absolutely have to. So far, 1/4 tsp of Piracetam a day keeps my "forgetfulness" to a minimum.

I am only interested in buying bulk powders and that narrows my options.

One challenge I've had with Amazon sellers is that Amazon doesn't disclose who you're dealing with - the name of the company. I suppose they don't want buyers to try to go direct and cut them out. However, one can send a seller a message, get a response and identify them that way. The other challenge is to know what you're buying. When I dealt with a new company through Amazon, I asked them for a certificate to show what they were selling that they called, Piracetam. They sent me some documentation and I was satisfied enough to make a purchase. The powder came in a sealed plastic bag, as opposed to a labeled container, which I prefer. I tasted the powder, it tasted like the Piracetam that I had purchased elsewhere. Then came The Test - did it help my memory? Yes, it did. At that point I was satisfied with the product. Without having the powder analyzed in a lab, I still didn't know for sure what I was putting into my body but, I took the chance.
