Hello there, :)

I've recently started to take xanax and zoloft again after being off for a year or so. I'm going through a bad time right now because of my anxiety and fears about my heart. I try to tell myself I'm fine because I try to eat healthy, exercise 5x a week and I visit my DR. twice a year with great blood work all the time(going tomorrow to the dr. to get my latest blood results.) Few years back, I went to the hospital twice because I thought I was having a heart but it was anxiety. Some of the anxiety now is because of Lithium. I think it's going to be bad for me or something. I don't want to miss on something that can make me live longer.

Ok, got the background stuff done so now you guys can get a better picture. I currently take:

Magnesium Malate 350mg in the morning and 350 at night,

B-100 complex

5000mcg b12 methylcobalamin (been taking it for 2 months. think I should start cutting back.)

5000IU Vitamin D(getting my blood test tomorrow),

fish oil

vitamin E 400mg w/ selenium 50mcg I think

1.5 mg of Vitamin C

I want to start taking Lithium Orotate, about 1/4 of the Lithium tablet every other day for neuroprotective purposes. Can anyone tell me if this alright? Does it matter when I take it? Also, I've read that magnesium and lithium conflict when taken too close a time. Can someone enlighten me on this issue? Thanks for your time and sorry for the lengthy post about my issues.

most lithium orotate comes in 5mg elemental lithium tablets/capsules. so if you are taking 1/4 tab that will be about 1mg lithium. if you have anxiety problems you will probably not get any noticeable effect from a dose that low. try 1 tablet (5mg) see how it effects you, and adjust from there. i currently take 15-20mg a day. taking it away from magnesium is probably a good idea.

it also sounds like you have some paranoia problems. try reducing the amount of glutamatic acid in your diet.

Thank you for the reply. Naw, I don't think I'm paranoiac. Thankfully. Maybe I was a tad hypochondriac regarding my heart but I've worked that out.

btw, blood work was excellent. D level was at 41. Had a physical and EKG was spot on. SWEET!
