Hello, currently I am on a quest to find the highest quality Rhodiola supplement I can find (reasonably priced of course), with the aim of combating general just a feeling of general malaise and stress/anxiety. In my search, I have noticed most supplements standardize for 3% rosavins and 1% salidrosides. However, I have seen a couple that differ from this. One standardizes for 5.4% rosavins and .9% salidrosides and another is 4% rosavin and 2% salidroside. So I guess my question is, should I be looking more for a higher rosavin or salidroside content?

Well, after a little more digging, there is speculation that Rosavins are more stabilizing being serotinergic, and salidroside more stimulating being dopaminergic?
Links plz.. This is a weird statement because Rhodiola is a reversible MAOI and would effect both of them. The question is, which substance(s) is the MAOI?

Would like some info on this too.
just bought a 3% salidrosides, and 0.2% rosavins mix from a reputed vendor.
Was looking to potentiate coffee and negate sedating effect of bacopa.
How much do i start with? 50mg?

I think the consensus is that rosavins are inactive. There is a link with a study in the following thread.

Oh shit, Rhodiola didn´t do anything from me. Another placebo "adaptogen" or "neurotransmitter-affecting herb", I´ve taken a lot. Only a handful of supps have worked for me, most of them aphrodisiacs. I have a responsive crotch apparently. Not complaining, but I want something to work for my wacky, morbid brain as well.

To be honest I haven't tried the ceretropic's Rhodiola, but if I were to buy the best there is, that would be my choice.
