Best meds for people with ADHD PI?

Piracetam isn't strong enough. Should I move to a stronger racetam or add another drug.

How long have you been taking the Piracetam? What is your dosage? I found optimal results for treating my ADHD-PI to be around 1g per day in the morning.

If you aren't satisfied with nootropic solutions, maybe looking into rx grade stuff would be necessary. Users have reported success with Bupropion and Deprenyl (which I just recently ordered). Also, modafinil also seems promising based on the anecdotal evidence I've seen.

You have to be patient with Piracetam and play with dosages to find the sweet spot. Don't expect immediate and perfect results during the first week.

What did your doctor prescribe? No medication has proven to be more effective than stimulants for ADD/ADHD.
If you want to go the natural route, intense exercise works fairly well.

With PI on the end it's almost an entirely different condition.

Uhhh, docs will still prescribe the same meds, which are stimulants or Strattera. Few people like Strattera, so that just leaves amphetamines or methylphenidate. Modafinil has not been shown to be more effective than either of those, and it is not approved for ADD/ADHD in the US.

I've been taking around 1/3 of a teaspoon if Piracetam and Choline Bitartrate.. and it worked great at first but now I've seem to level out. I'm about to play with the dosage starting today. I'm not going to use Choline and take about 2x as much.

I tried playing with the Piracetam dosage for the past 3 days. Took ~3 grams in the morning with no Choline. No dice.

I'm looking in to Aniracetam.

Now don't get me wrong, the Piracetam is definitely helps my brain function 10 times more, but it seems I'm "average" now, instead of a complete idiot. I'm debating to purchase Aniracetam, but until then I'll keep playing with my Piracetam.

Many people have said adding fish oil with Piracetam can greatly enhance its effects. Something on the order of 4-5g of fish oil ought to do the trick. I took 5g this morning with my Piracetam and felt pretty good (and I'm normally a tough person when it comes to responding to meds and supplements).

Fish oil or any oil, or maybe a fatty meal to increase bioavailability?

Just a bump. I've tried aniracetam and it works only when Im just chilling, studying, ect but never in class. I've been getting lazy on taking the piracetam because i have it inworks powder and the aniracetam because it never puts me awake or helps me in class. I guess ill try the fish oil next but im losing faith in nootropics. I've also started taking some cheap vitamin pills, Men Forumla One a Day. It seems to improve my mornings a ton but nothing else (still worth it).

The funny thing about it is that taking nootropics can turn into a perpetually unfinished task just like any other project in the life of someone with ADHD and especially PI. I'd suggest finishing off your run with the piracetam if nothing else just to prove to yourself that you can finish something even though you aren't seeing any immediate benefit from it. I've started doing exercises in persistence recently. I lived almost all of my life unguided with ADHD and have just recently figured out that no one and no pill is going to fix my problems for me. It took a lot of effort to learn methods of organization when I was 27 and it's taken a lot of effort to do exercise everyday and keep my room clean. Finishing projects is my current unfinished project and it's probably the most frustrating and is taking the most effort. I miss methylphenidate because it made things so easy, but I don't want to take it the rest of my life. Good luck

Dude... Am I sounding like isochroma? Maybe I should lay off the racetams for a bit... lol
