Anyone calling themselves a "skeptic" is in need of a solid fart to the face IMO, and not of being listened to!

The comments are interesting, if you read past the first few.

I agree, here is a the link from one of the comments, from the Journal of Environmental and Public Health:

Again the researchers have a strong connection to the industry.

Here is a PubMed article from the 'Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine' with no "financial interests" according to the report, with a decent group size, and double blind experiment:

This study was designed to answer the question: Does the contact of the human organism with the Earth via a copper conductor affect physiologic processes?

They claimed it was double blind, but there's no mention of a sham ground, and no mention of how they accomplished the investigator blinding. Maybe it was double blind, maybe not, but there's no way to tell from the paper.

Whatever the studies show, I'm still a firm believer on the positive benefits. I've had my half sheet almost 4 years now.
A friend on mine got one for herself who in turn got one for her arthritic ridden father. She says the benefits of the sheet on him far outweigh the benefits either one of us have seen.
As I have stated in past post, I got benefits I wasn't looking for or expecting, such as not being very sore after extreme physical exertion and no more nightly trips to the bathroom.

Think of "Grounding: as a means of reaching homeostasis. The earth naturally has a negative pull ionically. Coming from a background in researching how to grow plants I have found that Clay soil especially has a negative pull which is why it able to hold onto nutrients so well. The earth is doing the same thing when your feet touch the ground aiding elections when needed bringing the body to a state of normality or Homeostasis.

Interesting. I have heard all the arguments but am skeptical to a degree. I have four grounding pads. One under my computer keyboard. One in my chair where I watch TV and another in my bed. It seems like I can feel the grounding and I definitely sleep better. My body feels better and inflammation seems less. Is it in my head? Sure but is it also doing something else good? I think so.

Is there a difference between the grounding mats you get and being outside?
I don't think so as long as you are grounded. There are a number of things which will keep you from being grounded even if you are outside. You need a direct contact with the earth.
