I only recently stumbled upon this forum and must say that it is a great source of info. For a number of years, I have been using supplements from Now Foods, Life Extension, Nordic Naturals, Doctor's best and Jarrow. Although I've been more than happy with the quality of these brands, I would like to replace certain branded supplements by bulk substitutes.
Currently, the top five most expensive supplements per month I'm taking are: fish oil (Nordic Naturals), ALCAR (Doctor's Best), multivit (Life Extension), Acetyl-L Tyrosine (Jarrow) and 5-HTP (Now Foods). It doesn't seem likely that the fish oil and multivit can be replaced, but I've noticed that bulk ALCAR and Acetyl-L Tyrosine are significantly less expensive than the branded versions.
However, I'm still a bit doubtful of the quality. Is the quality of bulk supplements comparable to that of branded products? I understand it also depends on the source of origin, but how could you possibly determine that. Could anyone give me a number of good bulk suppliers (shipping to the EU) that are known for carrying qualitatively high products?
