Hi All,

Looking into purchasing Now Foods, Ashwagandha "Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) Extract (Root) (Standardized to min. 4.5% Total Withanolides) 450 mg" Is the quality Now foods supply quality and effective ? or Should I go with another brand ?

Thanks in advance.

I'm currently using Now Foods ashwagandha. Can't really say much about it in terms of quality, it seems to work just as well as all other ashwagandha products I've tried.

I'm using Swanson and also Jarrow Sensoril. Figured the Jarrow would be noticeably better, but I tend to prefer Swanson whole root. Noticeable time dilation and dream effects at night with Swanson root. Will try two Sensoril caps again tonight to see what happens. 450mg root vs 225mg sensoril caps. Two Swanson pills didn't seem to increase effect any, compared to just one.

These have been taken for a while, off and on, and an interesting marked effect (subjective) was during the 10min that I spend waking up every morning. Normally this 10min feels like a couple, but on Swanson ash, it felt like much longer, on multiple occasions. It caught me off guard the first time.

I did an experiment with NOW Foods Ashwagandha, you can read the update here:

Ashwagandha as a Nootropic – Experiment Update
Long story short, I didn't notice anything special.
