The risk/reward of ordering a controlled substance online is terrible. Why not just go to a doc first, it probably will not cost much and there is no risk of arrest, fake pills, or some offshore hacker club getting your bank info.

Also determining if you have ADD based on your reaction to a stimulant is not the best way. Even people who do not have ADD will respond in some way to stims.

Hope things work out for you guys, but do it the right way.

If you go to a doctor, some key points are to talk about your inability to focus at work, a history of trouble with close relationships (parents, girlfriends, etc.), and a feeling that you are frequently not living up to your potential. Also express that sometimes you catch glimpses of clarity in your thinking and that's why you are coming for some help, you don't think it's fair to the people around you to not live up to your potential.

Also, I wouldn't try to purchase online unless you find someone that's done it successfully. Something about order amphetamines (or phenidates) online smells like entrapment, or baking soda from Mexico.

Adhd drugs are one of the most abused so chances are you have to be diagnosed first. After diagnosis twice it took two more doctors until one would prescribe me anything. It's ridiculous. What you can try is the behind the counter sudafed to test. If it slows your mind down to be able to focus on one thing you most likely need meds.

You don't check if you have cancer by doing chemotherapy, eh! (that works only in the House MD tv show)

AD(H)D is generally linked with depression and anxiety - maybe you could check about the first one with the Beck Depression Inventory or maybe Hamilton's - though it would be best to let a professional clinician do that - people are really filthy liars and they'll choose what they want to have even if it's cancer D:

I'd recommend dividing the results by two and you'd get a somewhat more accurate self-diagnosis on those tests.

The dual n-back minigame can be a good indicated - AD(h)D comes generally with a low working memory.

Actually, you should practice the dual n-back and the picture n-back as much as you can - it can improves your working memory and diminishes the AD(h)D symptoms. Really.

And even then, ADD is really often diagnosed - even though Ritalin does help you even if you have only depression or another disorder. Anyway, Ritalin can be good, a low dosage is usually best (10mg thrice a day) at most - it's better that you start with half that.

Keep in mind that other food supplements may be just as effective - try Piracetam and a choline source or DMAE. Those are much more easy to obtain, generally you can buy them over the counter, without prescription.

Well I just reviewed DMAE and I think I might have ADD with hypoactivity. When I was on DMAE I became hyperactive and the symptoms I have just got about 10- 15 times worse.

Why I suspect that I have ADD is because Im prescribed Modafinil due to hypersomnia/DSPS and sleepapneá. Although it usually fucks up my short term memory and I have further focus issues due to the drug. On a few single occasions I sensed what you people are saying. My mind slowed down, I could focus intensely and I noticed that I could concentrate on math assignments, problem is that 1½ later I became exhausted. I became tired because I could concentrate? Still rest of the class was working for 3hours, but for the first time in my life, I could follow the teachers guidance. Then I tried the drug again and again, always the same thing. I become worse on Modafinil. That´s why Im thinking that I should try something else. Also when Im on Modafinil I notice that I have issues writing, it kills my creativity but I also noticed that the actual skill of writing improved (there was something spatial missing) I can´t get through to the readers as I would like, although I don't know what to write when Im on. Another hint is that I usually write the same words twice or even the same sentences twice in a row.

I wouldn't use low/high Dual-N-Back scores as an indicator of ADHD. I was able to get up to 10-back after a week of playing before I was diagnosed ADHD. But Dual-N-Back is an excellent game to play regardless of whether or not you have it. I recommend this version of the game http://brainworkshop.sourceforge.net/. Also, their discussions boards are packed with good information for boosting intelligence http://groups.google...training/topics

Although some people find supplements successful for alleviating some symptoms of ADHD, I have had no luck that lasted more than a few days with practically every common nootropic/brain supplement. If your GP is reluctant to try psycho stimulants as mine was, ask for a referral to a psychiatrist for an ADHD assessment. Emphasize to your psychiatrist how your symptoms affect your work, school, and personal life and how it's been affecting you your whole life.
