Hi everyone! New to these forums, although I'm for few months reading about supplementation and following discussions here.

I'm a 26 year old male, in good health (6ft/183cm, 178lbs/77kg), and I am trying to improve a good anti aging diet, with some emphasis on improving memory, especially since I'm preparing myself for some tests in which there are dozens of subjects to be studied in a year.

So, if you can give me some tips I would be very grateful, especially in how to split the supplements throughout the day, which take on an empty stomach, with food, before bed, etc.. Because of lack of knowledge I basically took a quantity for each substance and divide into two
(morning and evening)

My regimen at the time is as follows:

Multivitamin Source Naturals, Life Force Multiple (2x day)
Vitamin D3, 5,000 UI (1x day)
CoQ10 100 mg (2x day)
Paradise Herbs, ORAC-Energy Greens (1x in the morning)
Life Extension, Omega-3, (1400 EPA / 1000 DHA day)
Phosphatidylcholine PC-35 (2x day)
N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine 500mg (2x day)
R-Lipoic Acid (R-ALA) 100mg (1x day)
Astaxanthin 4mg (1x day)

DMAE 351mg (1x day)
Acetyl-L-Carnitine 500mg (2x day)
Vinpocetine 10 mg (2x day)
Huperzine A 200 mcg (1x day)

I'm spending about $130/month with that. What most essential is missing? What could I substitute?

Any suggestion is realy realy welcome.

Thank you all,
Maluche

Regarding the multi: you're male, and it's got iron in it - if SN makes an iron-free version you should probably be using that. Also, I'm guessing many people around here would say the multi's got way too much stuff in it and at too high of a dose. At most you should need to take only one pill of that multi per day, and that's still a lot. I'm personally not a fan of multis that have a lot of "extras" (like CoQ10, ALA, etc) because they're generally only there in small amounts, and if you actually wanted a significant amount of the substance you'd have to buy a separate supplement anyway. The recommendations you'll get here for multis probably 90% of the time are either Vimmortal or one of AOR's multis (MultiBasics or Ortho Core).

Have you checked your Vitamin D level? 5000 IU could be overkill if your D level is already good enough.

At your age, (not counting for any specific health conditions you might have), I'd say the CoQ10 is unnecessary and you probably don't need anywhere near that much EPA/DHA. If you really want to take CoQ10 then 50mg is probably more than enough, but really unless you're taking a statin it might be a waste of money (especially if you're taking ubiquinol, which is very expensive). With that LEF fish oil, I'd think 2 caps per day is enough - four (which is what it looks like you're taking) is a lot, especially considering the concerns people have about lipid peroxidation.

The nootropic stuff I can't really comment on since I've never taken them, but hopefully some of this is helpful. Something you may want to look into if you're not getting enough from your diet is magnesium, and also possibly Vitamin K.
