I just started taking Ritalin right now. In the past, I was taking 10mg and I felt it. However, I am taking 20mg right now and I haven't felt it yet, I know it is my first day but I felt it on my first day when I took the 10mg. Could it be that I am overdosing too much and my body is not reacting to it?

20mg is not that much considering that the strongest Concerta pill is 54mg (IIRC, although I think that is sustained release).

I am more and more of the view that the first initial rush of many compounds is more placebo than anything else. I tried 10mg Ritalin once and its effects were pleasant, but rather untypical, IOW I think it was placebo more than anything else. I distinctly remember similar extra-ordinary effects for the first few times with some other things I have taken (Cannabis and Wellbutrin spring to mind immediately) - be it recreationally or medically.

It could be any number of things, but I noticed a similar effect with Strattera. I took 20mg which worked perfect, and then I took 40mg years later and there were times where it wore off quickly. You might need a higher dose, but you also might just need more sleep and food.

I tried Concerta, It didn't do jack for me. It had to be the time release because I never felt it. I believe that maybe just like Methylene Blue, less is more. I took however 2 Ritalin 20mg pills and I am feeling it. I have energy now when normally I would be tired, so this is good.

I did lose weight with Ritalin however. Last time I took it I lost like 10 pounds. People say to me that I wont want to eat, but that is the opposite. Ritalin makes me hungrier to the point that I have to eat junk food to actually fill me up.

As long as you mix in some vegetables and omega3's with the junk... but definitely remember to eat while taking stimulants. Eating is so vital to brain function. Your brain requires a lot of energy, vitamins, and nutrients that are plentiful in fruits and vegetables. Your brain also uses EPA (omega 3) like it's going out of style.

I would recommend as much as you can handle! In actuality you could make it your primary dietary fat at equal to or better than a 1:1 ratio omega6 to omega3, but to maintain good health, you only need a 3:1 ratio. If you eat 10 grams of other types of fat per day, I recommend at 10 grams of Omega3's on top of that. However, no one wants to down massive amounts of gigantic oil pills or take spoonfuls of oil straight. So if you can't afford or can't stomach that much oil, try to take as much as you can. I take 4 grams a day of fish oil (180mg EPA, 140mg DHA). Two in the morning and two at night. I wish I could take more, but my finances are down the tubes, and I have to make my bottle last. To maintain health, 4 grams a day of EPA/DHA-containing-oils should be enough to prevent things like Alzheimer's and heart disease.

The reason why I recommend so much is because it is so healthy for your heart and brain, especially DHA and EPA, respectively. ALA on the other hand is better for weight loss and eyes (helps make protective oil film).

Any reason why you are not using concentrated EPA/DHA oils? They look like better bang for the buck to me but maybe I am missing something with the other ingredients in fish oil?
