Hi Everybody,

First of all I'd like to say I'm not native english speaker so please be indulgent

It is one month that I take piracetam 2 *1200 mg (morning(8am) & afternoon (3pm)). My first question is: should I take my 2nd 1200mg earlier (/later?) or it's ok like that ?

I've noticed some effects after about 10 days or so, mainly : talking is much easier, I can read hard matter without being tired or bored, focus improved,
I make a lot more connections in my thoughts. Also regarding sleeping quality: Its not that earlier I couldn't sleep well, but I always had problems with waking up,
and even after being "awaken", my thoughts weren't that much clear (forgot many things at home after leaving) and I never spoke with anybody at least 1hour after being woken up.
But now I see that with piracetam, even if I sometimes sleep less (5-6h), I'm really "fresh" just after going outside of the bed, and my thoughts are clear, I start to make conversations at breakfast (!),
and so on. Never had headaches since I started

But last week, something happened to me twice (I mean, it happened one time but I thought it was cause I needed to sleep more, and then after 3 days again) : near 6 pm I came to my bedroom and just layed on my bed, just wanted to relax, not even take a nap ... but I woke up at 4am! the second time happened quite similarly, but this time I wanted to take a nap and it lasted so long!

So I thought this can be because I don't supplement with choline, so I bought it(citicoline) and also ALCAR as I've read it can also help to increase choline levels in the brain.
(What i've bought : http://www.iherb.com...60-Capsules/112
& http://www.iherb.com...blets/1462?at=0 )

I just received them and I would like to have your opinion on :

8am : 1200mg piracetam - 250mg citicoline (or more ?) and 1h after 500mg ALCAR (I've read better not take in the same time)
3pm : 1200mg piracetam - 250mg citicoline and 1h after 500mg ALCAR

Is the dosage ok ? To take ALCAR 1h after is correct?

By the way, as I don't know if it is important to mention, I also take 3*1g of creatine everyday as well as 1g taurine morning and 1g in the afternoon.

I hope this is clear, sorry if there are some mistakes !
Thanks in advance for help and advices !

For starters, Taurine is a sedative. That could do it.

ALCAR and Citicoline can be taken together at the doses you have (250mg, 500mg respectively). Racetam side effects are usually from choline depletion, but not always. I also suggest L-Glutamine or Pyroglutamate because Piracetam might increase glutamate uptake (increases NMDA receptors) so much that it kind of starves your system of glutamate by the end of the day.

Thank you for prompt reply

I read some time ago that the sedation dose of Taurine is around 3-5g, is it correct ?

I will take all together : 1200mg pira, 250mg Citicoline and 500mg ALCAR (x2). I'll look for L-glutamine also, thanks.
What should be the dosage for it ?

I also plan to try oxiracetam but don't know where I can buy it ? I found this website : http://www.nootropichub.co.uk
but not sure if it's a good one for that. Can someone give me a name of a supplier of oxiracetam that is reliable ?
Is maybe Relentless improvement trustworthy ? They supply oxi but i think that 65$ for 60*800mg is quite expensive, isn't it ?

Thanks

For a cheap and reliable source of oxiracetam, try smartpowders (dot) com. They also ship overseas

Not sure what dose is sedative, but I do know that up to 3g/day is considered safe. Split that up into two parts and you get 1.5g per serving. However, most benefits delivered from taurine can be seen at rather low doses comparatively... 200mg or less. This is because the body naturally makes it (in adults) from cysteine.

L-Glutamine, as with other essential amino acids, should be effective in the 400mg to 2g range. Start at the 400mg, and if you find that effective, stay at that dose. If not, ramp up until you find your happy place. If there is no happy place, perhaps we tried the wrong thing. I forgot to mention supplementation with TMG might benefit racetam users (as well as those using ACEi's) because choline uptake is so high, that additional choline cannot be made into enough TMG, which the body uses as a methylation buffer in the SAMe cycle.

Anything under 15 bucks is nice. Those look fine. TMG can be taken at 500mg a day, but you might want to try it mid-day again, 500mg.

Natural choline sources use a different mechanism of transport (they are phospholipids) than pure choline, so eating food with your stack will just cause it to be released slightly slower than usual.
