Hi Community,

I have a quick question:

Would making Resveratrol gummi bears be a bad idea, regarding absorbtion?

I could imagine, that it hinders absorbtion and I could imagine it enhances absorbtion.
Or probably slows the release of Resveratrol, leading to steady blood levels, like with SRT501.
If you chew them slowly enough they should actually lead to buccal absorbtion as well.

I understand the whole process should be done with low temperature.

I simply do not have the time to dilute my bulk powders with ethanol and miralax everymorning.

Here is my plan (qty will follow):

Resveratrol (probably also Pterostilbene, Polydatin, Luteolin)
Agar Agar or Apple Pectin
Citric Acid
Macrogol (PEG - German Miralax equivalent)
Ethanol
Xylitol

1. Disolving Resv in Ethanol
2. Mixing PEG with Pectin/Agar and Xylitol
3. Mixing 2. with 1.
4. Adding Citric Acid until mixture gets firm
5. Spreading mixture evenly on tinfoil
6. Put mix on tinfoil in the freezer for 1h
7. Take out and cut into small cubes
8. Store in the fridge/freezer until needed

?

edit: forgot the flavor: Grape of course :)
edit2: and blueberry flavor for pterostilbene gummies

edit3:
After reading a few more threads on increasing Resv. bioability I stumbeled upon the whey/resveratrol mix to generate resveratrol whey conglomerates. Probably I will do a few tests on yoghurt gums as well. With whey and yoghurt.

Do you know the Kamagra Oral Jellys? Those are viagra generics containing sildenafil citrate.
Does anyone has an idea where to get the patent application for this one?
Probably it helps me formulating my Resveratrol Oral Jellys :)

Finally I did my first trial with the gummibears!
Actually what came out were gummicubes, but they almost taste exactly like the original :)

10 minutes after ingestion, I feel realy spaced out. Just as after eating space cookies.
So the first I did was eat a sugary yogurt to raise blood sugar levels I blame for the weired feeling.

Each cube contains:

1 Gramm Polydatin
1 Gramm Resveratrol
100mg Pterostilbene
100mg Luteolin

Apple pectin
PEG
Water
Stevia
1-2 drops artifical flavour (blueberry, raspberry, peach)

The yellow/orange color comes just from the Luteolin.

Man I feel so spaced out. I will definately try a quarter cube next time ...

Wow, never thought they could be made into gummy bears. How about chewing gum? Would not that be more convenient for buccal absorption?

Happy new year everyone!

Thanks Lufega, actually they looked much better, but the bad light and low res camera did not catch the nice Luteolin color.
Though it was an interesting experiance I will not continue taking them, because it seemd a bit overkill.
I honestly felt too spaced out on them.

Hi Want more hair, chewing gum would be a good option as well. Some day I will make resveratrol chewing gum.
AFAIK Revgenetics were thinking about marketing a resveratrol gum, but stepped back for various reasons.
I will report back in this thread once the gum project is resumed.

I appreciate your posting here and I wanted to say that if Resveratrol is "spacing you out" you probably shouldnt use it. I took it daily for over a year and only experienced moderate stimulation, nothing comparable to anything psychotropic. When you talk about "space cookies" I think you are refering to Cannabis, correct? Has anyone else here had this experience?

The spaceout is probably due to the mix of additional ingredients the OP used, and high dosage, augmented by efficiency of buccal absorption for getting high blood serum levels quickly . I think this is a good option for getting high blood serum levels with low doses, by letting the gummi slowly dissolve in your mouth. I want to make up some to try this method.

:) the spaced out feeling was probably just due to lowered blood sugar, since I imediatelly felt better after eating come carbs. Probably also lowered blood pressure.

Yes please try them Maxwatt and report back!

Resveratrol Gummies Recipe

1 package Jello any flavor. Zero calorie if you don't like sugar, regular if yu don't like aspartame.
7 packs of dryp gelatin (Knox's is ok)
up to 10 grams of powders, all resveratrol, or as I did, 5 grams resveratrol and 5 luteolin.

Mix dry ingredients then add 1/2 cup (125 cc) water, and continue stirring until it is the consistency of play-dough/
Gently heat in saucepan until ingredients melt, or in pyrex container in microwave for 60 seconds (microwaves vary, however)

Pour into plastic candy mold, (or I used a silicon-rubber bread pan) and place in freezer until hard.

Turn out and cut into squares. You can estimate dose from number of pieces you obtain,

It melts slowly in the mouth. though a low dose, the high blood serum level obtained via bucal absorption should give many if not most of resveratrol's effects.

I talked to a compounding pharmacist today. He can make sublingual tablets, 100 milligrams. If I supply the resveratrol, and I have a doctor's prescription, he would make it for me at a cost of about a dollar a tablet. I don't see much advantage over just taking the powder sublingually and bucally. Same applies to gummy bears. Packaging it is convenient for travel, or for your friends and relatives who want it to look like other supplements.
