This study found out that modafinil reduces the effecitiveness of birth control pills because of inducing enzyme CYP3A4/5. However, the women who were tested took 200mg modafinil for 7 days and after that 400 mg for 21 days. They suggest to use condoms for at least 4 Weeks after the Treatment with Modafinil.
My girlfriend took 1x 100mg and 2x50mg Modafinil in the last week. My question is: Would it be safe to have sex in about 2 weeks?
I can't imagine that altogether 200mg Modafinil would have such a big influence on the metabolism 2 weeks later. Or would this be dangerous to assume?
