Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

The year 2011 is ending, without a magic elixir of life yet, but a lot closer to it than one year ago. What do you think are the key elements in 2011 that we will remember when immense victories against unvoluntary death will happen? What are the types of victories you now expect to greatly enhance our healthspan and lifespan?

Happy New year to all! :-D Here's to hoping that 2012 is nothing like the Mayans predicted. ;)

I would think there may be some impressive accomplishments with regenerative medicine and pets, given that the rules and regulations are much less stringent in this regard.
Or that some technology such as BioBricks comes of age and the complex network of genes and metabolic interactions is understood to a good enough level to figure out what is happening.

Any progress is good and I'm quite fond of pets so hopefully good will come out for both us and our furry/scaly/feathered friends. :)
