I've been using a lot of supplements, exercising, eating healthy, etc. I've gone through phases of extreme dieting(just well balanced, not calorie restriction), 60 hour work weeks, 18 credit hour semesters, high stress times, drug use times, party times, no supplements at all times, etc.
By the way, hi! I've been a lingerer too long.
Here is my current stack, this is what I usually take when I take stuff. So I might take this stack 3 times a day, but always at least once.
Piracetam 800-2400mg
CDP-Choline 600mg
ALCAR 600mg
ALA 600mg
Aniracetam 750mg-1500mg
Noopept 5-50mg
Huperzine A 200mcg
Vinopocetine 30mg
Fish Oil 5g
Oxiracetam 200mg-800mg as needed
Pramiracetam 200mg-800mg as needed
Phenibut 600mg as needed
Kratom 3-9g as needed for stimulation, higher doses for recreation
Kava in a variety of doses for stress
Protein if my diet doesn't get it, for the aminos and general health benefits
Sulbutiamine 500mg-1g when I expect to do a lot of work
Passion Flower for sleep
5-htp or tryptophan for sleep
With my daily stuff, I have become more organized, more focused, more "college" oriented, the ability to drink more alcohol without loosing my thinking abilities(haven't done stupid stuff while drinking in a long time). My memory has increased as far as recall and encoding. Understanding complex subjects that are initially foreign to me are sometimes completely understandable, and I feel enlightened knowing that I am the only person in the room who just learned 2 weeks of material in 5 minutes. My mood is the most affected. I am happier, although I appear to be more of a douche or asshole because I can recall facts and tend to be right ALL THE TIME. Not all the time I know, but more so than people around me. My mood has also changed to being a little "unemotional" and selfish. I'm okay with that, my girlfriend on the other hand has noticed a difference.
I cap all my supplements with "The Capsule Machine". When I make piracetam caps, I leave a tiny amount of space open, and try to pack in some Noopept with a card, not the tamper device. Capping yourself does not allow for perfect consistently, some ALCAR caps may be 500mg, and others up to 700mg. I feel this is okay since we are working in the range above 500mg's, and looking for cumulative effects mainly.
Instead of telling you my story and subjective effects from the beginning until now, I'm just going to say how I feel about everything now.
Piracetam is kind of like mood support, wakefulness, creativity, ability to think "outside the box", possible memory aid, enhancement of colors and perception(initially possibly), concentration, and focus.
Aniracetam is my preferred anxiolytic. I never noticed anything from it that stood out.
Noopept seems to be adding to cognitive enhancement, appears to be like adderall light with a mechanism of action of a re-uptake inhibitor that takes time to work.
Oxiracetam is speedy, I'm not sure I really like it. I tried using it in all kinds of doses, and I always ended up too excited to sit there and do work. I'll even find myself typing my current thoughts and not even acknowledging that I forgot to type around 10+ words in a sentence.
Pramiracetam is motivational, and will even make me clean the place up or organize stuff. It feels very good and in the right doses will aid in cramming for exams or completing a large project.
Huperzine A appears to help me stay awake, avoid fatigue, increase memory, possibly more focus. I use Huperzine like caffeine sometimes(drinking a redbull to start a paper, or take a huperzine).
Vinopocetine seems to alleviate brain fog, and so doesn't
CDP-Choline.
Fish Oil for obvious reasons.
Phenibut is great. Phenibut allows me to basically take "a xanax" without negative side effects. It takes about 2 hours to kick in, and higher doses aren't that fun for me. I can take a phenibut cap, wait a little bit, and easily do a lot of school work or physical work without feeling overwhelmed or frustrated. Very good for anxiety.
ALCAR/ALA has showed me nothing, but I take it because it'd supposed to do something good, especially for fat loss. ALA is converted into EPA or DHA, I forget. They're both good for you, and at the cheap cost of ALCAR, I'll continue to take it. The ALA might be expensive, but I bought enough to last me awhile. Do not taste ALA.
Sulbutiamine gave me an experience I cannot repeat, only a couple times. I don't plan on purchasing it again unless my budget is open to something like ALCAR that I do not notice.
DMAA is great if you are not sensitive to adrenalin or prone to anxiety.
Caffeine is great in small doses.
Theanine is great but looses it's novelty.
Green tea daily is healthy and relaxing.
Other nootropics like picamilon and bacopa were not included because I have just purchased them and not enough time to assay or even really get into some deep research. I'm aware of what they do though.
I have spent around $1,000 on supplements in the last 2 years. I can't even remember everything I have tried. I bought everything I could when I had the money. If I didn't notice anything, I quit taking it and kept it. Then I started to take nootropics, and I gave up on piracetam immediately, and I figured the huperzine A would maybe work. Now I know what these chemicals do and I take them daily. I find that they work after researching them and using them correctly. High doses of anything are no good. Personally, the only high dose of anything I listed worth taking is oxiracetam for mania/energy/recreation? And Kratom, because I like opiates.
Also, I used to be a very bad drug addict, benzos and opiates. I feel like my mind is fried. I cannot think, remember, or learn properly. I feel like I struggle a lot more than anybody I know. I'm smarter than a lot of people I know, but I just don't function in a way that works in our society. Nootropics have made a significant difference, I would like to get down to only about 8 supplements total some day.
