I recently reordered sulbutiamine from Smart Powders. I have plenty left of my last batch from them, however the new stuff is bright white and crystalline, while my previous batch is yellowish and sticky, and clung to the sides like it was magnetized.
Both taste like the devil, but somewhat different comparatively.

Anyone experience this? Why the drastic difference in taste, smell and appearance? I can't help but ponder purity issues...

Also, I just ordered piracetam and choline from CH; how is their sulbutiamine?

Gracias.

I've only ordered sulbutiamine once from smart powders. Still have some actually. Very very fine powder. Very fluffy stuff that's difficult to cap. Not sticky at all.

But there seems to be variance in their products. I buy ALCAR regularly and it's different every time. Sometimes very acrid smell almost as strong as vinegar and extremely sour (maybe HCL left over from the reaction?). Sometimes "wet" and moist. And once it was perfect, mild taste, almost no odor and strong effect. Purity seems to take a back-seat to the great prices. Not sure how they do it but their ALCAR is cheaper than direct from China (they might buy it by the ton to get a discount unavailable to the average person).

That was my assumption. But prices are good, so they have my business as long as product is effective.

Was reading all this recent hoopla about Cerebral Health too.. what the hell?
Any (other) decent vendors this site recommends?
I'm new here, so still getting acclimated to the whos and whats of the site.
Thanks in advance manic.

Honestly I usually stick to cerebral health and smart powders. I almost always buy in bulk and cap myself which likely saves me thousands a year considering my extensive noot habit ;)

In general I've noticed CH's product to be a higher quality. That could be a fluke or it could possibly be a justification for their higher prices. There is always some sort of "hoopla" about one vendor or another but everyone keeps buying and I'm pretty sure most people buy a little from everyone. Welcome to the board!

Has anyone bought Sulbutiamine or L-theanine recently from Smart Powders and care to comment on the products quality?

Although variance was apparent consistency was not affected.
That isn't to say either batch was good, or their current stock of sulbutiamine is any good.

Simply
a) slight color differences don's seem to make much difference
b) I have nothing to compare either batch from smart powders with, both were my sole sulbutiamine purchases

Does this mean that their Sulbutiamine was effective for you?

They seem to be the cheapest, especially if you just want to try a product out.

it was effective yes.
i didnt shop long enough to find cheapest, though;
I went with tried and true from what id heard?

why spend 4$ less when you might just get bunk.
slippery slope, price and quality, esp w/ regard to supplements/nootropics/research chemicals, atrophy.

Ok,thats good to hear. There's no 3rd party COA's from Smartpowders, but for the price, what are your alternatives. At least there are a couple of people willing to vouch for Smartpowders.
