Im going to have a go.. I thought it was crazy as well until I did a bunch of research on it..

I posted this on skindeepchat

Im going to get into this as I have been quoted $3600 to just do a few minor things with restylane..

A big problem is my eye bags but im not brave enough yet to go near there and might get these done at a shop.

I think nasial folds are a fairly low risk place to start out on. I will buy 1ml of regular restylane and have a go at it. I have researched the fillers and think that regualr restylane is the best for me, it is $158 for 1ml, does anyone think there is a better option? Im going to attempt to do the same technique as Dr. Naderi here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eq_DZzDyLyE

I was thinking of getting the Restylane Vital Injector and doing my whole face but giving my nasolabial folds double shots for about 40 of the 200 shots in the 2ml Injector. Could this be an option? I am new to this so I do not expect a dramatic improvment, it would be great to just soften my nasolabial folds some and get a general improvment to my skin all over.

My big problem is these folds, and some how I now have double folds when I look in a dark window or subway window reflection,, shite... in two years I have aged dramaticly from loss of facial fat.
As in this picture, there is a distinct depression in my skin making a double fold.. like coming from my eye or something..

Its gotta go.... and I do have a limited budget..
I was thinking I could just go strait for a more heavy weight filler and plump my cheeks out, this might reduce my bags, the nasolabial folds and these secondary fold s a little all in one go.

In these videos here, the doctors seem to do just one injection to achieve plumping of the cheeks.
This guy just seems to push the needle into one spot then inject.

Same here

This does not seem too hard.

Any thoughts?

I think it's a crazy idea...plus the Skindeep site is nowhere to be found.

Not too crazy.. instead of using a HA cream or Pill your just shooting it strait into the dermis,,, no worries about it being too big a particle size or whatever..,, just pull back before shooting to make sure your not in a vein, keep the needle parallel to skin, with the shape visible but not the colour visible and shoot it into folds while pulling back,, does not seem to be too much to it,, maybe hitting nerves could be a problem in other areas but yeah im going to give it a go.... I will make sure everything is very sterile, and try to read as much as I can first.

Any sups to help or hurt? I will stop fish oil and look up anything else that can promote bruising

What could be a good numbing cream? I am thinking Climax spray from ADC Lidocaine spray 10%

This will be great if there is nothing else im missing or not thinking of... and maybe a vallium or two

I think that it is not smart to do this by yourself. Beside that, I don't think you need this. I see a really good looking guy on your picture.
Please read something about 'body dysmorphic disorder' before you decide to inject something.

I personally wouldn't take any of that stuff as a filler for the face, DIY or not. If you look into the science of what makes a face attractive, balance and symmetry are very important, and using fillers could turn out badly in that regard.

Myself, I have had a CO2 laser resurfacing done (which is very cheap alternative), and for white dudes, it can take 10 years off the face immediately, I can tell from a personal experience that it is an amazing treatment. I've heard that the newer Fraxel laser treatment does not provide similar results, so I have stayed away from that type of laser resurfacing.

I wish your treatment turns out successful, whatever route you decide to take.

Hi cheers, I have heard a lot of horror stories regarding lasers and there seems to be ongoing reports of people losing volume in the fases a few years after getting them done.

Yeah I guess you had the hardcore laser, was it a few weeks of recovery? I am scared of going the laser way, i do see it as a gamble but maybe if im worried i should just save up some money and get it done by the best people.
What do you think of IPL for evening out skin tone?
I'm thinking that I might get close to laser like results with retin-a, Glycolic peels and edging into TCA peels at home all spaced out and starting from low strengths.

And with the filler, yeah im just going to do my Nasolabial fold's and put .5ml myself in each side, it does go away after about 6 months anyway and they would usually be putting 1ml each side at a clinic.

Fillers can correct all kinds of asymmetry easily, it just takes skill/knowledge to inject deep or near the eyes and costs money... I dont have money so I will get some restylane for $150 and just do the easy areas.

An interesting treatment is http://www.consultin...Restylane-Vital You get an injector with 200 HA shots in it for $200 that you inject all over your face spaced out.

Thank You!

That was my first reaction as well... but I cant see what can go wrong

Keep everything sterile, pull back before shooting to make sure your not in a vein, keep the needle parallel to skin, with the shape visible but not the colour visible and shoot it into folds while pulling back,, does not seem to be too much to it...
I think taking a lot of these nootropic supplements that don't have long term data on them should be more dangerous,

Fraxel-treatments are probably much lighter, depending on how strong resurfacing one opts for. What kind of skin you grew back after CO2 resurfacing, i.e. does it sweat and grow hairs normally? Can you do the CO2-resurfacing repeatedly?

There is a new laser from the fraxel people called clear+ brilliant
http://www.clearandbrilliant.com/
It could be a good way to try it out , the way I see it, it is a skin improving laser rather than hardcore resurfacing.

@jep it seems they could only find one woman with "horible disfigurement" from using fillers, she was injecting Chinese fillers, im not surprised and ayway it just looked like a very mild infection the type you might get if you did not clean up a cut properly.
