Hi,

I'd like to get back to the concept of "life extension" regimens. I have been playing with nootropics for some time and these are great for mental health. I am not yet convinced of Reservatrol or caloric restriction as these methods are either quite disruptive to my lifestyle or will introduce too many supplements.

What is your "life extension regimen" ? Any criticism/recommendations of mine?

If I cut out my nootropic stack my daily extension regimen would be as follows. You will notice that I am just as much concerned about individual organ health as I am about a holistic approach to life extension. I do not feel like following every possible combination unless there is specific benefit. Milk thistle, for example, allows me to drink/recover from drinking as necessary.

my base stack (in the morning with breakfast):

5-10mg desloratadine (antihistamine - anti-inflammatory, control alergic reactions)
3-4g omega 3 (anti-inflammatory)
500mg ashwaganga (anti-inflammatory) (morning, evening)
250mg siberian ginseng (adaptogen)

from time to time for a month a year:

500mg milk thistle (liver function)

from time to time (for a day or two every month):

250mg rhodiola rosa (adaptogen)

from time to time (for 1 to 3 weeks every 2 months):

2g longvida (split over morning, afternoon and evening)

from time to time (for 1 weeks every 2 months):

1g Vitamin C (buffered, with water)

every 9-10 months:

de-worming medicine

after any course of antibiotics:

pro-biotics 7 in 1.

Thoughts? What can I add and/or what should I remove?

Thanks,
-Tim

We are all fine being smarter with Nootropics (or recover what we lost due to alcohol abuse while we were reckless) but none of us are actively trying to add another 20-30 highly effective years to our age? Mental Health and ageing "protection" should work together.
