Long story short, i took one sns picamilon 150mg pill on friday night. I have to say it felt great, and gave me exactly what I wanted out of it.

The following morning I dosed on alcar and adderall IR 25mg (which I am prescribed but take rarely as I am trying racetams out, and I never take racetam and adderall on the same day).

Adderall's effect was present, however instead of the usual mental "flightiness" and physical discomfort that I almost always feel, I felt a profound numbness and emptiness in my body, to the point where it was just startling.

I am wondering whether this was a long lasting effect of picamilon or ALCAR, which I was dosing for the first time in large amounts (1g+ with ALA), or both.

Now I had taken a loratidine (claritin without pseudophedrine) earlier in the day for my allergies, and popped 37mg of benadryl (pill and a half) for my nighttime allergies. Reading the reports of others I really can't say I had a severe serotonin syndrome if at all, but the benadryl totally hit me, I am talking mildly breathing walls, heavy breathing, and, ironically, a complete lack of allergies or airway obstruction. Right now(2, almost 3 days later) I am taking the deepest breaths I remember being able to take. Saturday night I did not notice this as all I could think of was whether I gave myself SS by taking benadryl with picamilon.

I want to start dosing piracetam again, but I am unsure given the possible MAOI properties of picamilon. I have searched countless forums with no clear answer on this. Thank you all in advance for your wisdom and help :P

I don't think so. It's supposed to fall apart into GABA and a b-vitamin pretty quickly after crossing the blood brain barrier; this is its primary MoA. Unknown psychoactivity before that can't be ruled out, but after a night of sleep here really shouldn't be much of that left. Unless it's an irreversible MAOI, but I kinda think we'd have noticed something if it did that at 150mg doses. ('course, you have every right to be the first)

Anyway, benadryl's a first-gen antihistamine that crosses the blood brain barrier, and induces sleepiness and grogginess. I'm experienced with its active ingredient diphenhydramine as a sleep aid, and once in a while it will unexpectedly last well into the next day and perhaps beyond. Sounds more than anything like perhaps something you took inhibited or kept busy the liver enzyme responsible for cleaning up the benadryl. Your symptoms don't sound like serotonin syndrome to me, but diphenhydramine's SSRI activity and structural similarity to fluoxetine (which powerfully inhibits the liver enzyme that metabolizes both) might have something to do with its unpredictable half-life at higher than adviced doses.

Thanks so much for your reply, the thing is that I take benadryl all the time. I might have been on a few days-1 week break though.

Benadryl has rapid tolerance. I don't know how you can take it so frequently -- for me (and many others) it quits working after half a week. And that's WITH nightly dose escalation (25mg -> 50mg -> 75mg -> 100mg, and by the fourth night when I take the 100mg, it probably won't work anyway.)

Yes, should be fine. I never had problems taking it with ritalin + piracetam or vyvanse + piracetam.

Does anyone have any experiences of picamilon successfully added to racetam stacks?

I've taken them together before. No apparent interaction.

So I'm resurrecting this thread, ive been taking picamilon most of the time for about 2-3 weeks, and have been too scared to take anything that might really interact with maois, so, I just don't know from experience if there are interactions. Please, could somebody give me the final verdict on this since there is SOOO much contradictory information. I called poison control to ask and they didn't know what picamilon was.
thanks!
