I really hope someone can help me to clarify this.
Apparently, Lion's Mane (Hericium erinacius) promotes NGF. There is the mycelia and the fruiting body.
So:
-If I am not mistaken, the fruiting body contains herecinones and the mycelia contains erinacines.
You can read more here: https://www.explorep...erinaceus-.html
-In this study, it is stated that herecinones are not the responsible of NGF: "In conclusion, H. erinaceus contains active compounds that stimulate NGF synthesis via activation of the JNK pathway; these compounds are not hericenones."

-In the other hand, this study claims something different: "Especially hericenones and erinacines isolated from its fruiting body stimulate nerve growth factor (NGF) synthesis, which expects H. erinaceus to have some effects on brain functions and autonomic nervous system.

I will really appreciate any comments, and it would also be interesting to know if anyone who's having a good response to this mushroom is taking the fruiting body or the mycelia.
Thanks!!
