DMSO as a carrier for Cerebrolysin

Healthy Tony's Photo Healthy Tony 04 Oct 2012

In theory wouldn't it be possible to create a solution of DMSO with cerebrolysin in order to transdermally apply Cereb, avoiding the IM injection altogether? Any reasons why this wouldn't work?

In theory... but then I also think people have probably thought quite hard about this issue before accepting that IM was the one way: if you have any Cerebrolysin and is acquainted with the effects I reckon you should do an experiment. Another route to be tried would the the liposomal one: see here for instructions on how to cook up Liposomal Vitamin C - that apparently takes the oral absorbability of Vitamin C sky high*. However, who knows what would happen when you cook up Cerebrolysin with Lecithin - I would go about doing the actual guinea 'pigging carefully.

*not that I have personally verified this: it seems to be commonly agreed upon by various supplement makers but a search turns up very little material, if anyone could/can find any actual research on the oral availability of Liposomal Vitamin C I would appreciate it.
