Hey there Longecity,

I'm currently doing a series on my blog to try and figure out what choline supplement is best. I started with Centrophenoxine because it was the most interesting, I think next I will do Alpha GPC simply because it is so highly talked about. I'll post the link to my article below.

Now, something I am curious about. From the research I did, Centrophenoxine is an adequate source of choline it seems. And the many benefits it provides certainly make it appealing over other choline sources, except maybe Alpha-GPC.
However, why is DMAE considered so dangerous and Centrophenoxine is not? Everything I found has said that it metabolizes into DMAE, why would it not have the same dangers? I simply do not understand this, if someone could shed some light on this, that'd be incredible!

My second question is, what is your favorite source of choline, and do you believe Centrophenoxine can be used as a choline source alone?

Thanks guys, I'd love to know what the experts on this forum believe.

I'm no expert!

I'm currently on a 1 month trial of Centrophenoxine after reading so many good articles about it.

I started at 1g a day for the first week (5 days out of 7), then 500mg the second week, and next week I will drop down to 250mg a day.
For me initially it was very stimulating and very addictive. I was very confident and motivated, but when tolerance was built the confidence and motivation subsided.
I also had depressive withdrawal symptoms on my 2 days off a week from it. I may keep taking it at very low doses daily or just use it 2-3 times a week to prevent any side effects.

My preferred choline source by far is Alpha GPC. It works brilliantly and with no side effects.

Nice blog!
