So I have been reading up on K2, and its benefits, and how the K2 we convert from K1 is poorly absorbed.

What I cant comprehend is if we need it why it is so hard to get from the diet.

Fermented soy beans, Foie Gras. These are probably the most unnatural foods you could eat. (apart from processed foods which dont count and dont have anything unique for our diet except trans fats I suppose)

Yes it exists in Egg yolks and dairy but in such small amounts you would probably get more from the K1 in a paleo diet.

The mind boggles.

It exists in more significant amounts in grass beef and dairy from grass feed cows, so not that unnatural - it is now thought that Weston Price's mysterious Activator X was really K2...

I'll keep taking my LEF Super K, in any case.

you cant naturally get any good amount of vitamin k. it exists in highest amount in leafy greens but its k1 and its hardly ever absorbable or converted to anything. what nupi stated is false. never heard of being in beef or dairy in any significant amounts. fact is, vitamin k is very complex confusing, if to call, a vitamin and im not sure anyone is ever naturally sufficient on it and that it does have negative effect when deficient.

also why is this in brain health part of forum.....

See http://www.westonapr...vitamin-k2#fig4 Beef and dairy do not have massive amounts, but cheese is among the better options for sure.
