Any ideas what this is? When I watch a video or look at a picture a second time I see something completely different. Also, when I read I see words other than what was written, and I have to re-read the sentence to see what's actually said.

This is something you should really see a neurologist about, I would guess they are mini seizures or convulsions or something.

Do you have persistence of vision?
Look at a picture on your screen then fastly turn your head away, do you see the picture staying on your vision for some seconds?
This may be the sign of convulsant activity. If you don't understand the words or have slurred speech, you might have a stroke too.

No "persistent vision." When I look away I don't see the image, I see lines, etc similar to (but not as severe as) what I'd see if I looked at a bright light too long, then looked away.

I also remember having infrequent odd moments (at around the same time the picture/video thing started) where I'd look at a word while reading and it would make sense, but then suddenly something would change and the word would confuse me. I would begin thinking things like, "WTF just happened?" or, "is this the right word?" or, "is this word spelt properly?" or, "it doesn't seem right, something seems off." I would stare at the word for a while completely puzzled, then something would change and everything would make sense again. I don't experience this word problem now.

Do you have other symtoms than that? History of strokes, brain injury?
It looks like symptoms of aphasia but weaker : http://en.wikipedia....ceptive_aphasia

I'm 26. During the period of time I'm talking about (pre-2010), those are the only unusual things I was experiencing. From 2010 to the present the picture/video problem I described got a lot worse (more frequent), and other things started happening as well.
