would very much like to get comments from like medical experts on this post. So if you are like MD, digestive/cognitive specialist and have something constructive to offer that be great.

And if you a coffee drinker too, that’s great cuz that fits my case. The thing is I been on folgers instant for a year at least and that stuff worked great for me, made me felt super cognition/mood every single day. Great for my decision making/reasoning.

And it really helped me in school and since I was in the creative media field, really did a lot for my creativity.

But then the brand quality got tainted by this chemical taste so I couldn’t used them no more. cost cutting? economical downturn? And seemed a lot of other instant brands got the same problem. but eventually I settled on folgers brew and it less potent but not too bad I guess. better than nothing.

and the thing was I experimented with some different brew brands but strangely the mental stimulation got less and less over the months and I couldn’t figure out why. Then it hitted me. the brewers plastic and I found out the reports on plastic leeching with hot water. And I also been getting stomach issues which coincided with the usage of the plastic brewers when I thought about it. Later I got this strong depression for a short period in the days, and it was like nothing I ever had before cuz I almost never got any depression whatever when I was on folgers instant.

Then I stumbled upon the brain-gut connection researchs and how that most of serotonin is in the gut. And I got a source that said plastic can damage digestive system.

So do you think theres a cause-effect connection here? I mean the instant brands going to hell is one thing. But could the reason that the brews been fluctuating in effect be due to the plastic poisoning my gut and that in turn messed up my head? My gut was messed up and stuff like serotonin haven’t been able to reach my brain and thus I felt lessening effect?

I quitted the plastic brewers and switched to metal strainer and pour-over method to avoid leeching plastic. And recently I feel more stimulation from folgers brew. I would still need more observation period to see it this change is consistent. I also been using natural cures like ginger, dandelion and detoxing to help healing as much as I could’ve.

Any digestive expert here know how best to heal digestive system and restore it back to tip-top shape? Maybe that would help my mind be more receptive to brew coffee as well.

Do you think it’s a good idea to involvement gasto-intestinal and functional medicine specialists to check my system to see what shape they are in? I think my current insurance covers specialist service pretty well.

And if you have suggestion on a strong coffee brew, I’m like to hear about it. Big believer in coffee stimulant here. It did some great things for me. Like to get one as strong as folgers instant here.

BPA negatively interacts with the endocrine system and thus the brain indirectly. It could be in the plastics you're drinking out of. It's also found in the lining of aluminum cans and thermally printed receipt paper.
