I have a bunch of bulk powder noots here that have not been kept perfectly, they have not been sealed properly and are close to two years old.
Alcar, Picomilin, L-tyrosine and DAA.

The others look ok but, the Alcar is browned in spots near the top of the pack. Safe to take?

I noticed this with a lot of my bulk powders in the past. There were little brown specks around the upper-most layer of most of my bulk powders. The problem turned out to be using the same spoon to dose all my supplements. Now I use different scoops for every powder and no longer have this issue. ALCAR is very reactive so that's likely the problem. Not sure about the safety of taking the brown bits but I just scooped them out and after isolating the scoops the problem never returned.

Good luck

Probably caused by the top portion of the bottle taking in the air with moisture and oxidizing with possible metal impurities..this sounds dangerous as it could contain the potentially deadly bacteria Clostridium tetani. Even just cutting yourself with something rusty could cause tetanus infection. And then just flat out injesting it right to the source..bad news
read somewhere that ch or companies similiar use a titanium oxide procces when synthesizing products..which is actually a cheap procces that can sometimes be followed by yellow nail syndrome..

If this is the case then wouldnt this be happening all the time, we would not be able to see the browning until it got pretty bad.

I never did notice too much from alcar and it is the only one that browned so I probably wont use anymore of it if there is some risk, will look more into it and prob just order some more.

Alcar is hygroscopic and maybe reacted with something that touched it ?
I don't think your gonna die nor your house won't explode :p
