Hello dear forum readers,

My question is fairly simple for the one who knows, does anybody know how executive functions work in the
brain ? By which neurotranmitters does it go for example ?

The simple answer is that there is no simple answer. Using basic neurochemistry to describe executive functions is like using basic math to describe a quantum physics problem. Some people are willing to try, e.g. saying "It's about dopamine" or "It's about glutamate", but those answers are necessarily so oversimplified that it's hard for them to be useful.

Is there some specific problem that you're looking to solve? Or are you researching executive function for academic reasons?
