Sadly, I don't think it's making me any smarter... at least nothing in the cognitive arena really jumps out at me, but then I didn't really have any cognitive problems before I started. If you're having cognitive problems that are related to hypoxia or mitochondrial insufficiency, that's where it would be most likely to help.
Prophets, a long-time member has a thread about his experiences with NR where he saw a significant cognitive improvement. Another possible cause of brain fog is allergic disease in the sinuses. My first approach to that would be seeing an allergist for testing and possible treatment, but c60 may help allergic issues as well. It's been shown to have a beneficial effect on mast cell histamine release.
Edit: I just re-read GoDavidGo's post, and allergy is probably the entirety of the problem there. People are often surprised at how extreme the cognitive symptoms can get when your sinuses are inflamed. I've been there, due to a dust mite allergy, and it was starting to be life-wrecking. I finally saw an allergist and got it cleared up with allergy shots and some meds. It was like night and day.
There's an evil triad of conditions that can masquerade as each other- allergy, sinus infection, and depression. An allergist should be able to rule out the first two.
