I'm interested in the effect bacopa has on 5ht-receptors, especially 5ht2a. I'm a bit confused about its action in the serotonin-system:

Bacopa seems to downregulate 5ht1a-receptors, but upregulate 5ht2c receptors. I couldn't find much concering 5ht2a receptors. Anyone have any information on this?

This is why it shows pure synergy with aniracetam! , great post While I've never gotten much out of bacopacides as anxiolytics the 5ht receptor if not the GABA system is one of the best too positively disrupt & affect anxiety disorders esp if linked too serotonin issues obv!
