Has anyone ever tried taking niacin with piracetam. Supposedly, niacin changes the response curve of piracetam from an inverted U to a linear one and it buffers again developing a tolerance to piracetam. Anyone have any Niacin and is willing to try this out? I've tried the combination, but it seems I am a non-responder.

Here's what you would take:

1g Niacin
1g Vitamin C
500mg Vitamin B5
5g (or 10g to test) Piracetam

Vitamin B5, in addition to protecting against niacin's effect on liver enzyme levels and uric acid levels, helps the adrenal glands (supposedly what causes piracetam to work) to function better.

Since niacin is relatively safe, the evidence would come from those who try taking it with piracetam. I just remembered reading about this combination somewhere (maybe it was on this site). I think it'll work, and niacin is cheap, but I suppose some will have to taper up their dosage of niacin to avoid excessive flushing (you have to use the instant release version of niacin).

Regardless of tapering, I've never been able to handle more than about 200mg of niacin at a time, so I certainly won't be willing to try this experiment. I'd probably have a severe panic attack and end up in the ER. But that's interesting info about niacin helping to retain the dose-responsiveness of piracetam, I think I'll take 200mg right now!

Would this still apply if you are getting a lot of niacin from the foods you eat?

Are you getting 1g+? Either way, many people say taking piracetam with b-vitamins or fish oil greatly enhances its effect.

I used to do this all the time, drop 1g niacin mixed with 4g piracetam. I can't really comment much other than it made me feel great and spicey. I specifically took it to play/listen to music which it enhanced the experience of and added depth/richness, if only a little. I did not use it for any other purpose and I can't comment on it affecting the U-response but generally it was great.
