I recently heard about nootropics, so want to know a little about them.

First of all i know they're no miracle drug, if i do end up taking them id only expect a little boost.

I am 17 and currently live in the uk, what is the best nootropic i can buy in the uk?

What are the long term side effects?

Does it actually work?

What does it feel like?

Is it expensive?

What does it improve exactly?

You're probably gonna have to import it. I have a friend in Ireland who orders through Smart Drugs for Thought.

I would say for starting out, and at your age to keep a fairly simple nootropic stack. Something like 2,400-3,200mg of Piracetam, and 300mg of Alpha GPC. For about a month supply it would be like $40-50 USD.

Side effects from these wouldn't be there so long as you do not over take the Alpha GPC. Too much choline can cause drowsiness and overdoing it continuously could potentially cause depression. With Piracetam you would only have to worry about headaches from lack of choline but 300mg of Alpha GPC should easily prevent this from happening.

Piracetam improves the effectiveness of the Corpus Callosum which is responsible for sending and receiving signals/information across the two hemispheres of the brain. It also stimulates the GABA and ACh receptors in the brain which are responsible for memory and thought processes.

Hope this helps mate!

Most nootropics differ in effect and feeling, but if your taking them purely for self enhancement they can offer more than just a slight boost. I would recommend taking a look around this forum and reading a few things before jumping straight in, the stack sanguine mentioned above is quite a good starter route, I would also include some good quality multi vitamins and fish oil though as they can be almost priceless extras for some. You can buy most in the UK, they are not that hard to get, either import or there are a few good companies who can supply direct. Do some forum searches on Piracetam, choline sources and alpha GPC to get a better understanding, there are some very good existing threads.
