Does anyone have any experience with Suma Root. It is known to mimic anabolic steriods in the body. I've been using Suma Root in a new stack comprising of

Piracetam
Guarana
Tongkat Ali
ALCAR
L-theanine
DHEA
Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate

I have been feeling better than ever. I've been trying to get off caffiene for ever and picked up some Guarana to use to taper off caffiene. I'm learning the effects of Guarana seem to be much smoother than typical caffiene effects... I'm also noticing and I believe that it is from the Suma Root that my mood is significantly more elevated. My sex drive is way up. It already was up high due to the Tongkat ali but kicked into another level with the Suma. Minor aggression in stressful situations but no issues... I've been on the Tongkat for about 3 weeks at 2 capsules of 200:1 extract. Finest quality around. The Suma Root I've been dosing 2 capsules of 4:1 Extract 2000mgs a day.

Piracetam effectiveness has improved somewhat also allowing me to take lower doses. Sometimes this happens when first introducing a new choline source but then poops out after a few days.

The only new additives in my stack are ALCAR and Guarana but ive been using caffiene at around 120-300mgs a day spaced out for months, magnesium off and on and DHEA a few weeks. ALCAR i've used in the past with some added energy effects but nothing special. So far this has been the best stack i've tried in my suplement journeys. Maybe its just a honeymoon phase and it will subside but something good is going on. Any thoughts or experiences.

There is an ongoing discussion on ALCAR. I can't find a link to the thread, but it was recently found to increase TMAO levels which are bad for heart health. It's good if taken after a heart event, but in the long term for red meat eaters may actually be contributing to heart damage through a microflora pathway. Basically a gut bacteria eats it and turns it into TMAO and feeding it makes there be more of it... The study came out of Harvard IIRC.

I'll check it out. I take fairly low doses and very rarely eat red meat though. Thanks for the heads up.

Caffeine in Guarana is bonded to catechins which affect its metabolism and make it "time-release". Thus it's better than pure caffeine which can give a burst of stimulation but is followed by a crash. I found Suma to improve libido / sex drive and initially increase strength at the gym but didn't note much mental effects. I've read it promotes regeneration of liver and seems to be useful for other things too. Some of these Brazilian herbs are very nice, Catuaba is another good one.

Hey Introspecta, still on the Suma? Did or does it improve sleep? Am looking for something to help with depression, libido and possibly also sleep, and thinking of getting stuff from Barlowe´s. Have you tried more things from there?

Maca helps a lot libido, energy, some mood, but I don´t think it is a safe choice for people with insomnia, anyway I have bought a kg of the stuff since at least it makes me horny which is clearly antidepressant in itself hehe. Also want to get huge fast and some energy will be welcomed.

EDIT: Fuck me, you are that NOFAP guy!!! Shit, this reinforces my idea, lol I have known about this for years, been too weak and pathetic to do what I say, or do what I think, I´ve been living a lie. as a liar. I won´t masturbate never again. And also take supplements, do diet, exercise, but abstaining is a permanent fix, herbs are something extra that costs money and can be withdrawn by chances.

Its funny as I was reading and saw you say you want energy and to get big fast I immedietly thought he should try No fap. Then you I see you wrote it,lol.

I havn't been taking Suma lately. I've been taking Tongkat Ali which I use for a month or 2 then take a few week break. I buy the 100 capsules of 200:1 extract. I've tried  Suma, Maca and L-dopa. I didn't get much effects from Maca. I got very good effects initially from L-dopa but its potentially dangerous and the effects don't last. Your much better off doing No Fap. Messing with L-dopa could screw up Dopamine levels. It would most likely potentiate your insomnia also.

I wouldn't call yourself weak and pathetic. Its easy to get sucked into negative behaviors. Most people are naive to the negative effects of Porn and Masterbation. Its def worth a try. I've been doing it off and on and Almost always around the 5-7 day my anhedonia and depression lessens and I begin to have more life energy. More desire and will to get out and do things. I get stuck in bad habit of working and going home and doing nothing due to being tired from being up at 430am. No Fap def helps to pull me out of that. I actually don't like the fact that I seem to depend on it to get myself out of laziness and depression but it always helps. Exercise increases the effects x 10.

I don't think Suma would help your Insomnia. No fap may actually make your insomnia worse before it gets better. Your Test will rise around the 7th day and seems to stay high for a week or 2 after then tapers back to what it was. For me at least and obviously I can't measure my testosterone so I'm judging my subjective feel of strength, aggression and libido which always peaks at the 7th day. Continuing to Lift and using Herbs like Suma and Tongkat ali def help to keep Testosterone high which for me seemed to prevent any Flatline that they speak of.

How old are you? Have you been lifting or getting exercise? At least make a goal to make it 7 days without it. I mean its great to say you'll never do it again but if you fail you might beat yourself up. So if you slip up just keep trying and remember that it could potentially heal your depression and change your life. My first month of No Fap was definetley life changing at that time.

No Fap+Diet high in Fat, Brazil Nuts, Fish Oil, Coconut Oil, Protein and Vitamin D combined with heavy lifting will result in significant Test increase.  Tongkat Ali could be used as extra Test booster but depending on your age may not be necessary.

Aha! Actually there are studies proving the test increase in the 7th abstaining day, as well as in general in less sexually active males (ironic right).

On the 7th day of abstinence, however, a clear peak of serum testosterone appeared, reaching 145.7% of the baseline (P<0.01). No regular fluctuation was observed following continuous abstinence after the peak. Ejaculation is the precondition and beginning of the special periodic serum testosterone level variations, which would not occur without ejaculation. The results showed that ejaculation-caused variations were characterized by a peak on the 7th day of abstinence; and that the effective time of anejaculation, is 7 days minimum.

I am 23. I know, it is not wise to jump and say NEVER AGAIN. Because probably you WILL masturbate again lol but I tend to do this of making things dramatically, mayeb to motivate myself.

lol a 145% increase is 1500 from 600, no wonder guys experiment so many effects from no fap. They are experiencing higher test and lower prolactin levels.

Yeah I am officially an exercise junkie now. I do push ups and run. It seems to make insomnia worse though, adn abstaining as well as you said. Helps tremendously depression so fuck it though.
