currently working (err.. trying at least, if my fat cat would just stop licking my typing fingers!!) on a work to refute many of the claims against the scientific conquest of aging by Hayflick.

I need your help, I have here his book translated to my native language, unfortunately - the translator seemed to have mixed a few things up.
If anyone here has an original copy of Leonard Hayflick's book "How and why we age", I'd appreciate if you could copy or scan a few pages for me. These would be on Chapter two (animals that age, and animals that do not age), I need the everything that is written beneath the title: "Animals that do not age", this is in total about 2 pages. Also, chapters 4,5 and perhaps 6.

Minimal help will also be greatly appreciated!!

-Daniel

Funny, I am using that text as a reference for a paper I am writing on the evolutionary origins of senescence/lifespan right now. I will give it a shot on my scanner at home.

Cheers,
Rasputin

So when are you coming home?

Thanks again!,

Don't let the man wait, refuting Hayflick is important work! Here, I had a shot with my digicam, if you don't mind my fingers holding the pages... If your cat wants to lick something again, try to offer her the pic ;-) If you want more, please be specific, it's not the whole chapters 4,5,6 is it? By the way, this is the hardcover 1994 edition, pages 21-23.

Hey John,
I'll need to recruit you once again for the noble cause ;-)
If you don't mind, I'll need chapter 4, only the first pages - without part 2 (Aging in Numbers), I need the topics:
"Aging is not a disease", "Normal aging changes", "Causes of death" and "aging related diseases".

I bet these will suffice!
Thank you once again...

Wow, that sounds awesome! Where exactly are you going with your "work"? I just read some excerpts of the book... You picked a good target to rebut. Some parts I can't help but call deathist propaganda. Have no mercy [pirate]
