I also know that my HPPD / everything gets worse and I feel really faint when I go from a kneeling position to a standing position. I also find that I have cold feet and hands, or that one hand may be cold and the other one will be warm like only half of my body is getting oxygen or something.

Your issue sounds dopaminergic to me. Dopamine is tied to the very conditions you describe, vision, mood, social reward, anxiety, & brain fog. You may want to check out deprenyl or other dopaminergics. I am surprised the Rhodiola didn't help.

Thanks, I will do that. I have noticed that drugs that increase serotonin make my brain fog worse. Sunlight and exercise seems to make it a lot better, more vivid visuals and cleaner perception.

I have very similar problems with brain fog, memory issues, etc. Over the last few years I 've tried just about every nootropic available. The only one that really helped is bacopa. I'm taking that and ashwagandha (the ksm-66 extract...which works much better for me than any of the others) and things are still improving. It's amazing how much those two have improved things.

Then you might try stuff that reduces serotonin. BCAAs + tyrosine should work.

Whats your diet like?

You may want to eat more salt if you're suffering from hypotension/Orthostatic Intolerance(OI)/POTS.

Plus you must remember that cortisol is adaptive to a very large degree is only the response to the actual stress. Or, cortisol and other stress hormones will make you feel better temporarily but are horrible long term. You have to figure out why it's high and correct the root cause.

Do you have your thyroid numbers? It seems like most docs are reluctant to treat unless it's really high.
Ideally you want your TSH around 1.5 or less

Well, basically when I said that I say that drugs like Kanna (SSRI + I think it inhibits dopamine ) so it might be the dopamine that's making it worse. I feel that when my brain fog is worse, so is my memory and confusion gets worse. I have stopped the Kanna though.

My diet is pretty adverage. It includes a mixture of some healthy food. E.g. Chicken, eggs, oranges, bananas, water, and some greens. Maybe some unhealthy things such as chrisps, or maybe some packaged food / processed food 3 times a week for dinner...

I do eat enough salt already, but I try not to overdo it. It's just getting really bad, it's annoying because I'm only 18 and just want to get on with life. I don't have my TSH numbers, unfortunately. :/

It's definitely getting worse and I'm finding it difficult to even realize what I'm doing or what I did 5 minutes ago. I also do stuff without realizing I'm doing it, and then think to myself why I'm doing something.

Do you think it could be related to dehydration, I don't / very rarely drink water where I'm always busy with work etc. Plus, we don't have a sink! Anyway, could it be because I'm not getting enough fluid ? I have tried to drink a lot of water before (for about a week) and I was drinking the normal 7 glasses a day amount but it didn't do anything. Water does seem to help a little bit though, like if I were to drink a 2L bottle one day, it would help me a little bit.

Kanna & SSRI's do deplete dopamine. Try the herb Mucuna pruriens with green tea on an empty stomach. Mucuna contains a direct precursor to dopamine, 'L-Dopa' while the Green tea behaves as an AADC inhibitor allowing the dopamine to enter the brain. Try 3 grams mucuna pruriens powder with 2-3 grams quality loose leaf green tea. You could also take extracts but I do not know the doses. If you do go with extracts get a brand you trust.

I really think this will work for you, but if it does, do not make a habit out of it. Use the Mucuna as a probe to see what heightened dopamine levels do to you. If it works, investigate other therapies like Deprenyl for example, which is safe for long term use, unlike Mucuna (this is still debatable...)

Try out the uridine stack as well. If pregnenolone works then that means that there maybe inflammation to your hypthalumus. Check out selfhacked.com for more info.

The uridine stack helps modulate dopamine receptors and release.

That seems like a lot.
What color is your urine?
Have you considered that you might be overhydrated?

You wont get over hydrated on 7 glasses of water a day. You'll need to drink 3.5+ litres of water a day to get to that realm.

Depends on a lot of things, how much you're sweating, heat, humidity, etc. Yes people do tend to overdo the water drinking, and it thins out the blood and depletes electrolytes.

Well on my average normal day-to-day life I drink about 2 glasses of water and maybe 2 / 3 cups of coffee. My urine is normally dark yellow, but I do take supplements anyway which could contribute to that? :)

Thanks for the information, and all your help thus far but what's the uridine stack? I will try it I just need to know what stuff it contains ?

Thanks :-)

Thanks, I will try that it sounds promising. :-) I was going to try some L-DOPA before but didn't know if it would benefit me in any way but I will try this stuff that already has it inside.

All I know is that the best thing that I've tried so far (and I've tried a lot of things) I seem to notice good results on this:

I haven't taken it in ages because I run out lol

Nope, still have brain fog. Although I'm a step closer, found out I've got some SOD 2 mutations however no medication I've tried has helped

I see you tried methylcobalamin for about a week, did you use it with the methylfolate? What doses of each? I’m in a very similar situation and pretty sure what I’m going through is Methyl trapping or folate block. Our symptoms are extremely similar.
