There was a problem with the Mac OSX version several months back. The client would just sit idle for days without downloading a new work unit.mitkat - My version won't connect to the server for some reason...
One problem was that there were either not enough OSX based work units or not enough servers available for the number of Mac contributors. The OSX work units are different than the Windows WU's so Stanford previously issued those from mostly dedicated servers. And, there were relatively few servers assigned to handle OSX work units.
Since the advent of the Macs with Intel CPUs, the Mac contribution to FAH has increased. Stanford may be now 'giving Macs more affection'. It looks like Stanford has assigned more servers to support the OSX system. In the server documentation, it appears that several servers are assigned now to handle three operating systems; OSX, Linux, and Windows. So the stalled server problem may no longer an issue.I've completely deleted it and re-installed it, all that jazz, but the mac graphical version may be getting too little love.
Hopefully, Folding with OSX has improved a bit better lately.

You were the 162nd contributor to the The Longevity Meme team (TLM).
It's good to see another PlayStation3 crunching those molecular dynamics equations with TLM.
Thanks

As you may recall, I sent around some momentos when the team hit rank 500 last year. I'll do it again at rank 200, so consider that an incentive and challenge - sign up for the team and get folding for better biotechnology and medical science!
I still believe
On July 15th, 2007 we will break the 200 mark.

I just realized that I still had F@H installed on my desktop from about a year ago (only completed 15 work units), and so I decided to start it back up now that I'm not on this computer much anymore...
And so I was wondering, how many of you out there are running F@H? Do we currently have a team?
If we don't already have a team, I'll make one, and then list its number in the thread... Hopefully we can get some competition going?
http://fah-web.stanf...eam_summary.txt <- Team list (Are we possibly "IMMORTALITY" ?)
- I thought I recalled seeing a team for F@H here at one point (may have been another forum), but I searched the forum and found nothing -

I believe so. After that, any work unit you submit will be added to that team's total. (and the first WU you send will make you show up as part of that team)Well, I added the number in my client, is that all that is required to join?

I'm not sure of the order in which each of you joined the team:

If anyone has a PS3 or has any friends that have PS3s, let them know to join the team as well. Those things kick out the WUs like nobody's business.
Yeah, I just realized that...the new GPUs from ATI and nVIDIA are more powerful though.
