I added it to my regime and im in love with it haha, it gives me a great feeling of wellbeing, helps stimulant anxiety without noticing any cognitive side effects, i also started verapamil tough so im gonna leave that out tomorrow (ran out actually) to see wich benefits are truly attributed to valproic acid.

Im concerned about it lowering cAMP tough as i want to try the cilltep stack again soon. Does anyone combine them?

What was your experience with this? How were you dosing?

I think ciltep is placebo. I have been taking valproate for over over three months (200mg nightly) and I really like it. Better sleep, better mood. imo it is one of the best neuroprotectants out there.

I wouldn't stop VA for ciltep or any supplement.

I've just come across http://www.ncbi.nlm....les/PMC3419440/ " Effect of valproic acid on mitochondrial epigenetics"

As far as I can see it just seems to say that Valproate causes lowering of levels of 5hmc that bind onto the DNA inside mitochondria.

And I thought that's how Valproate acted anyway on any cell's DNA

5hmc causes HDAC, according to:

...if I am understanding it correctly.

So lowering 5hmc levels inhibits HDAC

But mitochondrial DNA doesn't wrap around histones. So HDAC wouldn't take place in mitochondria.

So it doesn't look like the paper is suggesting any kind of health risk. If anyone can see otherwise, please do correct me!
