Hiya,

I don't advise opening this on your phone unless you have a lot of data to burn, 11 animated gifs averaging around 2.5 megs each.

Still, you can see lots of fun holes and hyperintensities, I think, I dunno how to read these things ...

I'm no radiologist or neurologist but it looks like a pretty normal brain to me.

I remember getting MRIs done on my brain a few years ago and can recall seeing one hemisphere being darker than the other when I glimpsed at the monitors after walking out of the room. I was later told by a neurologist that my brain looked healthy. Is what I saw normal? Something tells me the different shade on one side represented greater density, but that's a complete guess.

Same. Though the GIFs are a bit too fast to take an accurate look.

I had an MRI taken recently, and was surprised as well about certain white areas in the sagittal view.
Family of mine is a neuroradiologist and confirmed that they were merely venous blood vessels, not lesions.

They were also more or less in the same areas as those on your sagittal view.
So chances are this is your case as well; though again; I'm by no means a professional.

When do you get the result?

@knightly Got Em done at a regular old med imaging place.

@Tom Yeah I can't tell really whether some of the dark spots are dead pixels or actual holes, some do look like veins though.

@sparkk51 Only "abnormality" that's obvious is that my head is slightly tilted.

@formergenius I find out Tuesday. Could slow down the gifs if you really wanna get a good look. Was going to see evidence of hippocampal atrophy or something at least.

@prophets it's not a toomah

Comment from Imgur: "This is someone dying while having an MRI scan. Tragically beautiful."

Can I ask, was this an MRI or CT scan? Is that just a standard scan they do when a doctor requests a head scan or was it specialised in some way?

Standard MRI and MRI with contrast. I also had one done of my spine. Turns out I have arthritis in my back and neck. At 33. Not interesting to my neurologist though it explains why my neck grinds sometimes when I turn my head.
