Um, it is a little hard to design the style of font and add a link when the signature is limited to 200 characters. Hmm especially when you work with HTMLs.

Possible to make it longer??

Thanks

In general, I'm not that much in favor of large signatures.. but as it's my sis asking, I must be careful :)

Hey Harvey,
Was always wondering when will you get out of the shadows to the open forums again :)

I think it could be a great idea! In that way, it won't be possible to have these long silly signatures but allow designing them nicely.
I'll be grateful for that. Thank you!

Bruce, well, it won't make them large, but simply allow more designing freedom...

FWIW I second the request, though I'd like room for more text. I'm close to HTML illiterate.

Another option.. is to create the HTML in another program and then do a screen capture as to make it one image file... and then include in the signature as just one picture.

I'd still go for the first option.

I like Harvey's suggestion. That doesn't make the signature longer, but just allows for more room to code stuff, like a link. Not that I care too much... I don't have a sig.

I'd encourage users not to use a signature at all, as it distracts, breaks up the flow of a topic, slows loading time, blows up topics and is a nuisance especially when printing. If you have to use signatures, they should be limited to simple text, as short and unobstructive as possible.
In fact, outlawing pictures in a signature is somewhere on my list of "votes to suggest". (beware infernity)

Harvey's suggestion is very difficult to implement technically.
